A dictatorial, intimidating and juvenile Service Department management style makes the place an unpleasant environment in which to work.

Communication of changes in policies and practices is entirely top-down via notes taped to the wall in the shuttle drivers' room. Regular opportunities for two-way dialogue between drivers and management to discuss areas of concern are unknown.

Slow management response to increases in customer demand for shuttle service that mandate additional driver/van resources can result in long hours behind the wheel in city traffic without anything more than short breaks to change bums in the passenger seats; the stress and pressure jeopardize driver physical and mental health and welfare.

There is no formal documentation of policies and guidelines, procedures and responsibilities. Training of new drivers is simply by a process of osmosis.

Other than occasional expressions of appreciation by some service advisers and customers, shuttle driver commitments to the concepts of service and customer retention go unacknowledged by the dealership.

Shuttle drivers are at the bottom of the dealership totem pole, and management never passes up an opportunity to remind them of it, from not bothering to advise of dealership organizational changes and social events to providing drivers with faulty cell phones.

Inadvertent contravention of some unknown rule recently resulted in a driver having the van keys taken away without a single word of explanation; the most disgustingly insulting stunt witnessed in over five years with the dealership.

The management was poor.  When problems arose, management hired more people to force people to quit instead of addressing issues or decided to change salary to create it more difficult to earn a living through commission only based salary.  Everyone was meant to suffer and hard work was never praised or appreciated.  Environment was always very hostile and work hours were dreadfully long, working from at least 6:45 am to 6 pm at night.  Thankfully thats when the service doors closed.

Some coworkers would try to work as a team and get the job done correctly and that the customer is happy.  90% of the time, customers were not appreciated, squeezed of every penny and then spat on.  I apologize to any customer for being forced to bring their vehicles back for servicing as anywhere else would provide of a much better experience and will be much more appreciated.

I have worked primarily in the auto industry during my working years, most of which and currently with Canyon Creek Toyota. 
Things I enjoy about working at Canyon Creek Toyota is everyday is different and exciting. 
Management team in all departments have not only shown they care about (ALL) employee's but the employee's well being as well, this is something most large companies forget. 
It is truly unfortunate some staff members who cannot meet or exceed our customers expectations feel it is the companies downfall and not due to their own failures. This would include doing crossword puzzles and watching TV while on shift. 
The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to see not only myself but my colleagues no matter what position they may work being gainfully employed and being able to support their families.

They say everything starts from the top and trickles down. This is fully true and this is the reason the environment at this dealership has become so hostile. 

I have witnessed certain managers target and continuously bully specific co-workers of mine. I have listened to these same managers spread untrue gossip to try and compromise specific co-workers continued employment. The fact that this bullying is well known and yet allowed to carry on is the main reason my employment at this company is unable to continue.
Customer care falls to complete last place amist the demoralizing attacks on employees characters, mostly by (certain) managers. These specific managers continued to name drop who they wanted or planned to have fired in order to incite constant fear. 
Disgusting behavior and treatment of people.

My work day is about meeting people, understanding their needs & wants and meeting them with the right vehicle at the right price ..

At CCT, a process is followed; insuring to get the best out of a situation, both for the customer & the dealership .. You don't have to have a huge experience to sell cars; product knowledge is essential; but the process guides you through to achieving your goals. 

Management is a bit tough but efficient ..
Most of Co-workers are fun to be around, decent & professional.

The hardest part of the job is meeting the right people (actual buyers) at the right time .. Time-sensitive follow ups are crucial to meeting sales targets.

Selling cars is about the second most important purchase in the majority-of-people's lives .. The excitement it creates in their eyes is the most enjoyable part of this job !!

A productive workplace for an apprentice to polish their skills in vehicle inspections, oil changes and tires. With time there will also be interesting and challenging jobs that come around once in a while. However, the majority of the "Real Mechanic" (complicated/involved) jobs will only come once you are a journeyman. This must be taken into account, as this is the case with most dealerships. The pay and benefits seem to be within industry standards. Keep in mind that if you are seeking a much steeper learning curve in the Automotive Service Technician world, a private shop may be a better option. However, if you do choose the "dealer route", then you do eliminate all the other uncertainty that may come with a private shop.

Nothing. Very easy going and the bosses are very nice

Time passes by fast and work doesn't really feel like work its more fun then anything

I enjoyed the time when I worked at Canyon Creek Toyota. It was always fun. There are some stress time from time to time, but it is reasonable. Most of the time the service team and parts team will help each other out more than fighting, this is very rare in a automotive dealership. I highly recommended to work in this parts department if you want to work as a parts advisor, the manager is one of the best manager I ever had. 

This dealership has gone downhill since few years now. they cant seem to find good management. Employees hate working there. They are bullied every day. Everyone constantly looking for a job.
Sad because there are people there who spend lots  of years and being treated horrible to force you to quit

The service department in this dealership is horrible everyone is miserable and the management doesn't care about its staff. The sales department is fabulous everyone is very friendly and they always seem to be having a great time.
