I answered an add in the Cape Breton Post to become a paper carrier when I was twelve years old. I then had to go in to the office to meet my superviser. I expressed my interest in becoming a paper carrier. The superviser had a few questions for me. 

I have kept this job for the last seven years.

I recommend being a paper carrier to everyone it’s fun going out on a Saturday to collect from people who didn’t pay, eveybodys always friendly, It only takes me a half hour to deliver to 22 costumers.

Staff is friendly and will keep a relaxed working atmosphere even with tight deadlines. It can be challenging if the weather is terrible but for the most part it is a very enjoyable experience.

Great company to work for, excellent staff and friendly co-workers. Salaries on the low end and not vey competitive with other papers. Excellent communication parameters with department managers, great atmosphere all around.

the day starts at 5 am go around the area to the houses that were subscribed and give hand out the papers.
every other weekend i would go collect the the payment plus tips this helped me develop my communication skills.

The hardest part pf the job is you still have to deliver newspaper even if it is snowing hard. No gas allowance. Sometimes the newspapers arrive late. But management are kind and considerate 

Most days were spent on a assembly line preparing the flyers, except 2 days of the week which were spent delivering said flyers. The managers were good, I personally never had a problem with any of them.

My experience at the Cape Breton Post was Great because it gave me a job to create a bit of income for a few years now I would love to extend my experience in another job field tho

The best thing I learned was that alot of my customers were very happy with me when I delivered the mail earlier then usual and had great experience with it all. Great first job!

grab the papers and disturbed them great exercise and thats about it you walk to peoples houses and then you drop off the paper very easy laid back job
