Capital Care

Capital care pharmacy is a great place to work. All the staff is awesome and friendly. The supervisor is great. She’s more like your friend than a boss when it comes to accommodating your needs. The pharmacy manager on the other hand is not the friendliest and will huff and puff if someone inconveniences her. Don’t really think she understands the pharmacy workflow since she’s usually outside of the pharmacy. They are extremely understaffed and need more workers as the work load increases on a daily basis but apparently AHS cannot accommodate that into their budget which sucks because it is a lot of pressure on the people that work there and during flu season when people are sick. Overall it’s decent but beware of the pharmacy manager 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Home like atmosphere. Management listens and changes what they can change if needed.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Time restraints. Sometimes not having enough time to do more for the patients/ residents

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly and diverse community that works together.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fast paced in the department I work in. Assisting patients with their rehabilitation post acute care, administration of medications and providing wound care.

An extremely difficult place to work.  Enormous favoritism shown.  Bullying rampant.  Senior management support one another in pushing out skilled people.  Long hours.  Received some training in various workshops.  More and more tasks put on the plate with nothing removed.  Expectations exceed what can realistically be done.  People promoted to senior executive positions based on who they are and who they know, very little else.  Serving Christmas dinner to staff was the best part.

My typical day at work, was when we were short of staff and I was supposed to add like four more clients to my clients. It was a bit challenging because I needed to take them to and fro for supper, do PM care and laundries. But to my surprise, my other co-workers came to help. That is, we all worked as team, helping one another for the evening shift. At the completion of our duties, we were able to relax for the evening knowing that team work is the best to achieve ones goal.

It is a good place to be employed. There is different programs to choose from to work with a wide range of patients. There is Long Term care, chronic vent patients, Medical patients recovering from a hospital stay, Transition patients waiting for assessment for placement into a facility other then their previous homes.

Good place to work with highly professional working environment and lots of support from administration. Staff in capital care help each other in a very friendly manner while doing the job as expected at the same time making the work a fun 

I have enjoyed working with the elderly's. 
they have beautiful memories and have wonderful  stories.
I enjoyed playing outdoor and indoor fun activity games. singing, and dancing.
it was a warm and wonderful feeling from me, as well a good working experience.
If I ever get an opportunity to work there I will for sure.

well my day at work starts with a meeting, then I check the books to see if there is any changes in conditions, if any test is required, then I check my patients who require insulin or blood sugar, and if any wound is due. Then I start medication administration, while supervising two units with the help of an RN.

A typical day at work, it was nice. Working with patients are manageable but working with coworkers was stressful.

Culture in general is just fine.

Hardest part of the job is dealing with fellow coworkers.

Most enjoyable was working with the patients.

Management does not listen to staff they create more work with little support. Everything they do is in the name of patient centred care but non of the changes benefit the patients they only make care worse
