I have worked in Sales or Account Management for the majority of my working career, and I can say with confidence that Capital is one of the best places to find a career. 

The day to day work is dynamic, challenging, and allows for a high level of autonomy. The culture of the company is one that focuses on providing value for it's customers in every way possible and as an employee I consistently feel valued and apprecaited for the work that I do. 

There are many long-standing employees who have been with the company for 10, 20, 30, and in some cases 40+ years. From my own personal experience, this can only be explained by the way that the leadership team values it's employees with personal relationships as well as fair compensation. 

The company is family owned and operated, but oftentimes as an employee you feel that you have been welcomed into the family as well. There is an expectation of hard-work and high performance, but that mindset is modeled by the managers themselves. Often times the General Manager, Operations Manager, HR Manager, and the Owner are all at the office later than any other employee. Not to be left out, the production Manager is the first one in the building almost every day. They truly lead by example and never expect something of their employees that they aren't prepared to do themselves. 

Communication is transparent, honest, and fair. The work environement is very collaborative and suggestions for improvement are always welcomed. The company is always adapting and improving based on suggestions from the team, and when sound business ideas are presented they are implemented quickly and effectively. 

I have worked for a number of different organizations in my career. From small startups to fortune 500 companies, and one thing I can say with confidence is that Capital is one of the most well balanced companies I have ever worked for. They have the scope and scale of a large organization, and yet the culture and environment embodies all of the postives that normally accompany working for a smaller company. 

When you list all of the positives: fair compensation, reasonable workload, manageable stress levels, work-life flexibility, and a continuously growing company - this company is an excellent choice if you are looking for a long term career.  

Working at Capital Fine Meats has been a wonderful experience for me. From day one, I've felt like a part of the Capital Fine Meats family. The company culture here is truly exceptional, fostering a sense of belonging and respect that is hard to come by in the corporate world.

Capital Fine Meats is not just a workplace, it's a family-oriented space. They truly understand and accommodate the unexpected things that come up. I've been particularly grateful for the company's generosity in providing time off to handle emergencies. Capital is a good place to work if you are looking for a first job, or have immigrated and are in need of work experience to build a resume or build credit. Though if you are looking for a career or to support a family they are not the place for you. The pay leaves much to be desired, but the hours are the best you could ask for. The management structure is in need of reorganization, but the CEO is world-class and a genuine individual. There is very little to no opportunity for advancement within the company, as it is family owned and operated. Most of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Language can be a difficult barrier to navigate, as many of the staff are non-English speakers, but it is a very loud workplace, so there is not much opportunity for chit-chat anyways. 

Capital Fine Meats is an exceptional workplace.
After nearly three years here, I can confidently say it’s one of the best places I’ve worked. The staff are incredible — welcoming, supportive, and genuinely caring. The owner is down-to-earth and approachable, and HR is always attentive, helpful, and quick to respond to any concerns.

This company truly prioritizes employee safety, and you feel that every day on the job. The work environment is respectful and positive, and you’re treated like a person, not just a number. The hours are solid, the pay is fair, and there’s a real sense of teamwork and belonging.

I highly recommend Capital Fine Meats to anyone looking for a stable, safe, and positive work experience. I’ll always hold this place in high regard.

All of the employees are great to work with whether your in the office or in production. 
The owners are genuine and your not just a number even with more staff and a bigger building. There is lots of training and safety is really important. The managers are encouraging and want you to succeed. The HR lady is the most caring person you will meet. Even when I had to put my family dog down she sat with me and listened and will always help you.
There is usually overtime if you want it and the pay is better than other companies. Also close to transit so easy commute if you don't drive!

A typical day is fast-paced and focused on helping customers and completing tasks efficiently. I’ve gained great experience in teamwork and communication, and the workplace culture is very friendly. While the hardest part is busy hours, the management is supportive, and I most enjoy working with my team. It’s been a valuable learning experience overall.

In short , It’s not a good company to work with. 
No appreciation. I did all the hard work for this company and helped them in their hardest time with machine brake downs to building repair, but at the end no appreciation. I had a full time job at other place, even though I was helping them with my full support.
I had sacrificed my sleep for this company. The culture of this company -is they use you when they need you and then throw you out.
This is my experience with this company working for them for 21 years.

Was out in a freezer 40 hours a week without extra insulation, it caused me to get sick multiple times and when my car broke down they fired me because it was impossible for me to commute to work unless I paid for a $60 uber every morning. Finally when I went to pickup my paycheck they showed no empathy and kicked me out the side door. 

Rough working conditions, working in 30 degree heat with glasses so you are unable to see what you are cleaning. No formal training, and under national average pay. Working with oversized hoses that are almost uncontrollable.

Cold, smelly, disgusting environment.
Labour intensive.
Dangerous machinery
Low wages, no incentives, room for advancement
Miserable coworkers. 
Very few English speaking employees
