What is the best part of working at the company?
I enjoyed working with my peers. The company is very accommodating when traveling for work events. I was able to deliver high value projects and found the work satisfying. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The collaborations. It’s truly a nightmare and I wish I’d never worked for this company because of it. You will get positive feedback from your manager and skip until it’s time for them to justify a ranking and then things like “an email was too long” or “there was a slide in the appendix that should have been in the presentation” is what they use to justify PIPs. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful due to the need to create meaningless presentations just to get face time with upper management. The environment feels more like a school than a workplace where everything you do is graded. Maybe my manager was particularly awful but I wouldn’t wish the “culture” on my worst enemy.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I managed all Agile ceremonies (as they let go of the Agile job family).  I worked closely with the business on new intents and relieved blockers for ongoing projects. I worked closely with my tech leaders on architecture and tech design. I created a LOT of decks for various reasons.

The typical day at work is when i have to handle with the customer, where i have to pronouce their names correct, and handle with a bad customers with attitude. Cant show customers our mood swings and stressing.

What i have learned is to control with customers, how to take a proper call, challenge the customers and with my co-workers. I love to challenge. I love all my co-workers because we all got good team player, we always help each other, solve problems when we all need help and ask our supervisor for good answer when customers ask us when we dont know what good answers to get, thats how i get alot of experience.

To be honest the hard part of the job is customers, when i get rude customer when they get so mad and starts yelling, swearing and gives us the big stress where we gotta handle myself. But that gave me the good experience. Hard part is keeping everyone happy.

Management, its a good place to work, everyone at work is easy to get along with including management, they help you when we need help and not sure of or aware of what i am doin. Comfortable place to work.

Enjoyable, fun, very busy with clients, the time flies fast, the managment and my team, always on the phone, keeps me busy , its very fun challenging with my co-workers. I enjoy speaking with clients and helping with them to reach their goals

Capital One is of the most deceptive companies I've ever worked for. Going in, I thought the company was inclusive, equal opportunity and a strong collaborative environment. 

And those things are true IF you're a member of the management's "in" crowd. They do NOT value opinions different from their own at all. A completely toxic company culture by any standard. 

When trying to move positions, you do a skills based interview, then a "job fitness" interview. This "job fitness" interview is the manager determining whether they like you or not and will ultimately determine whether you get the job or not. There are plenty of examples of zero job skills candidates getting the job because the manager liked them better. Yet another toxic process.

Accessibility is also a challenge for them. They took months to provide basic accommodations for a medically documented disability. It eventually happened and was great afterword but they definitely drag their feet.

The pay is good and the benefits were great at the time. Not sure about now though. But I don't think it makes up for the extremely toxic culture.

I have enjoyed working there. The tarining was well designed to help us complete our daily tasks. The work space itself was welcoming and the amenities were good. We gad a ping-pong table, a froozeball table and a large cafeteria. My typical day at work involved receiving calls from existing capital one customers and assisting them with any questions they may have about the product.
Managing my schedule, such as my breaks and meeting weekly objectives was an imperative part of my job. Therefore, self-managing was a reality. Then the management team was there to guide us and help us meet the company objectives by setting up one-on-one meeting and job shadowing sessions. My coworkers were wonderful, we always helped each other out either with call handling tips or shift trades and more. The hardest part of the job was dealing with irrate customers. It requires lots of patience, which is something that comes naturally with time. The most fun part of the job was definetly the team work, gievn the fact that we all worked at close proximity with our colleagues, allowing for a good social dynamic to build up.

A typical day at work. I arrive about 10-15 minutes before the start of  my shift. Within that time I would begin to start up my workstation and begin checking emails, while conversing with the people sitting next to me to get an idea of the work flow such as, what is driving the calls and if there are any updates based on our policies or systems. What I learned from this job is patience, I also learned it is always best to double check/confirm tasks customers want me to accomplish, in order to avoid errors resulting in a negative experience for the customer and the company. The hardest part of the job is dealing with customers who believe you are not trying to help them, when in fact I will present them with numerous options to show there is a willingness on my part to resolve their issue. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people you meet and interact with at work. There we really were a family and everyone supported each other.

the worst place to work if your looking for a chance to grow. management look out for management employees are not a treated fairly based on race!! Yes I said race there is a systematic issues for those who are not liked or show that know more than management when it comes to the day to day work management having affairs with agents! Yes I said it again. all they have that is in place to make employees feel comfortable is really to push you out on infractions they say are legal compliance such as not say Mr. or Mrs. above all gossip is a huge matter there that includes managers engaging with agents etc. as far as when agents bring up concerns be it personal or work related matters don't get looked into frontline managers are lazy vindictive abuse their position cater to whom they like fire those they don't typical call center my only suggestion is not getting comfortable there if you find yourself in the same roll and you have applied for a different roll there and don't get then its time you seek a job else where cause you will be stuck in the same job until they write you up for infractions as a way to dismiss you

At the consumers office where I work, your career progression is to a greater extent who you know, who likes you in Management and the ethnicity you belong to. If you re good at what you do and unable to suck up to those in Management, all you will ever get is a flimsy lion's head on a wooden plaque.
Moreso, socializing and not doing your job is more likely to get you promoted than doing the actual job. Internal Promotions are unfair and processes for recognition and rewards are ( in terms of performance) unclear. 

Most communications are poorly managed and so frontline agents feel the brunt of such poor communication lapses.
Most, if not all the FrontLine Managers 
lack extensive experience handling calls and so cannot proffer time-saving, on-the-spot solutions when a customer asks for a manager.

Fresh from school,it is a good place to start but to grow as a career, the opportunities due to the NEPOTISM, FAVORITISM & CRONYISM makes OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IRRELEVANT and VERY, VERY, LIMITED
