I would go in make sure my truck was fueled, clean, paperwork was up to date, safety circle check, get on the road to the 403 project,
I learned more about trucking and road construction, crash truck duties and police coordination,
A handful of us would go for breakfast sometimes the next morning for a talk of our night,
The dark was the hardest part of the job, it was a night project which is interesting alone
Dealing with the public was enjoyable, my supervisors were very professional


I would start my day by gathering equipment for the days work.
cut and remove old curb/sidewalk/stairwell dig and clean area prep 
frame and level to proper specifications. place new concrete in forms finish concrete with hand tools wait till set and remove forms.

Don't bother to work here for mechanics, go somewhere else. To many things wrong with the place. No benefits like other places such as sick pay or personal day pay. Very old and dirty shop. Some of the guys in there soon to treat you like trash. That's just a little of many.

Working at Capital Paving taught me many skills , room for improvement & overtime advance in the field of Construction. Hands on lessons as well as visual & description lessons. Good paying job working from 8-12 hours a day. Worked in Kitchener , Waterloo , Cambridge , Guelph & many other cities.

Great place to work. Really helped me to develop professionally.Upper Management is great and very knowledgeable and always willing to help and teach junior staff…. But that’s just my experience. Give them a try and let me know yours.

Unorganized and inexperienced management. An office full of people with diplomas and no experience trying to tell the people with experience and no diploma how to get the job done. They are a condescending bunch trying ro justify their own salaries to ownership.

The management is awful, the work environment is toxic, there is no comunication between manager and supervisor, low waves for supervisors, and lack of respect from some foreman

Great people to be around and get work done with alway got jokes up their sleeves but still made it a safe environment to work around, they take the time to teach you how to get things done correctly without leaving it all to you

Had a very stressfull job  nobody helped me  kept adding more and more responsibilities with no added compensation managers and supervisors were very unorganized smade my

you are just a number. and the union rep is on a kick back management sucks as does certain foremen. if you do work here it is not a fun company. heres a few baubles now get lost
