Car Pride Auto Spa

I worked here for 3 months. I learned the vacuuming, and all the other aspects of washing cars that customers pay for. However, as I was just progressing to learn more and learning to wax cars, the owner decides he's going to let me go because I'm working "too slow". As for someone who comes into work punctually, sweats just from finishing tasks in a timely manner, even slipped a number of times because I'm rushing to get a car done, and someone who maintained the shop environment from water, obeyed all the work rules, did all the laundry and folding while everyone else was just standing around talking. When there were no cars, I filled up all the bottles of chemicals, mopped, did laundry, took out the garbage, and found something to do than to just stand around like most others. But, again, no appreciation for any of it! All I get from workers and the owner is that I'm not fast enough. Meanwhile I was working just as fast as all the other workers, or faster if anything, just to get a car done on time.

Working with the co-workers was great. However there is no room for the so called "advancement" as you go from vacuuming cars to drying them off on the other side then finally becoming a "detailer" (depending on whether or not they want you to be, people who deserved to be detailers were never given the position, regardless of how long they've been there). They hire and fire people like no tomorrow. The amount of customers that have had their cars damaged due to the uneducated owner who tries to be a "know-it-all", was astonishing to say the least.  While I was there I used to get emails begging for reviews on Google etc all so that "one" out of the 15-16 people working there could win a Tim Hortons gift card ($10, what a joke)

Very chill and laid back atmosphere. Amazing job other than the fact management is absolutely horrendous. They don't listen to any issues within the workplace, offer in adequate training and than put the blame on you for not knowing how to do certain things even tho you were never trained. Amazing benefits, Amazing pay. None of it is worth the headache unfortunately

the job was stressful and used to get rushed to be quick with the customer cars which ends up with the customer unhappy about the service and the owner would shrug it off. Their desire to rip off customers was more important. the best part was being told to pay .50 cents for every bottle of water in hot summer weather. there was 2 instances of getting it for free. Overall I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Great environment to work in. Clean and Health & Safety is number 1 priority. Very busy place. Winter flow of work is good as they hand-dry all vehicles and have an excellent marketing plan to keep customers coming in. Contracts with dealerships and body shops to ensure they're busy all year round. Pay a quarterly bonus to all staff. All tips go to staff directly. 5 out of 5 workplace.

Car Pride offers a great place of employment. Their management team is willing to work with you regarding scheduling in advance, the staff are amazing and always willing to assist a customer's needs. They offer a good benefits package, incentives programs, employee discounts, and a great team to work with. There is a steady stream of loyal customers nearly every day too.

I didn't work here for that long (few months) but for the time that I did work there, I couldn't really say anything positive. The owner is sexist (heard for myself that he flat out does not hire women, don't see why women cannot be detailers) and expects you to do the most on the least amount of pay.

fast paced and high energy is needed for a day at Car Pride Auto Spa. Going through & cleaning lots of cars a shift, we have to keep the line moving by finishing a car in under 10 minutes.

Even while being enclosed; drastic flow of business decreases during winter months.  Winter time too slow for steady hours.

Worked hard and was under payed but the experience was good. Taught me a lot of good traits and helped me learn the way you should be payed and what to and what not to expect in a fast paced environment
