A typical day involved multitasking between client and administrative duties, which helped me build strong organizational and clinical skills. I learned a lot about teamwork, communication, and handling fast-paced medical environments. Management was supportive and open to questions, fostering a positive workplace culture. The hardest part was adapting quickly to the dynamic workflow, but the most enjoyable was collaborating with a dedicated team and directly helping clients. Overall, it was a rewarding experience that contributed greatly to my professional growth.

This has been the worst company I have worked for.  The posting itself says to work your tail off, trust me you work your tail off and the management does not follow through with opportunities for advancement.  Bonuses and promotions go to management favourites.  Employment is a revolving door as there is insufficient training provided for staff - clinics many times have no managers working forcing front line staff to take on any and all customer dissatisfaction. Staff are required to do much more than their job entails, with little appreciation from the “higher up”. The work environment was toxic and negative.  I would not recommend anyone work here.

I really enjoyed my time at Careica. It was my goal to work for this company ever since I was a student and I was happy to have been given the opportunity to be part of the Calgary team. I was part of the Oxygen and and PFT departments and all the people I worked with were beyond incredible. They say there will always be the odd person/s that are not very nice in every workplace, but I did not meet anyone like that at Careica Calgary. From IT, to HR, to fellow RT's and CSC's, everyone was very helpful and such a pleasure to work with. I was heartbroken to leave one of the best employers I've had, but I'm happy to have had fun memories here. :)

Watch out for risk of demotion if you have any outside conflicts going on in life that are affecting your work. No offer for assistance/resources to help better your situation. 
HR is a joke they will tell you to work out your problems with others yourself instead of any mediation. 
The only thing the upper staff of Careica care about is themselves.

Upon starting, they told me this was a permanent position, however after almost completing my probation, they told me they had to let me go due to a lack of work. The option was either to continue working for them and losing benefits for 3 months or quit. Management also didn't respond to my communication so it was difficult to get answers. It seemed like I was ignored. Overall not a good experience if you're leaving a company to work for a company that lets you go.

Supportive team environment, great work culture, no shift work

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lots to learn in the beginning however you get lots of support throughout the onboarding.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very supportive. Easy to ask questions and get help. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Review patient charts, contact and follow up with patients on an APAP Trial, start patients on their APAP machines, sell APAP machines to people when they've completed a trial period.

Decent pay, good team to work with

Very large workload, extreme expectations from management.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very competitive, the workload never ends which created stress among the team.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working straight through the day, very rarely was there time to break. It’s go go go and then some.

Cost of living increases yearly, profit share bonus, extra vacation weeks added on based off years worked etc last couple years have seemed more money hungry and less thinking of their frontline staff that is the face of the clinic and literally doing the hard work. Haven’t seen a wage increase since Covid other than our yearly COLA. Supposedly a very valued member of the team but other than words have nothing to show for it. Coworkers keep me coming to work daily. 

Worked with Careica Health as their rep for AB North Oxygen from June 2023 to April 2025. Excellent working dynamic with the Manager here. Ideas were heard and felt valued as a member of the great team here. Only left to pursue a growing business in a different industry. Highly recommend Careica Health as a great place to work, learn and grow!

Extremely toxic work environment, management aware of workloads being unsustainable. Refuse to hire as the work is “ not too much”
