I've worked in several corporate office and know good management.

Management (HR) at Carizon is one of the worst and absolutely terrible place of employment I've every worked. Supervisor and Management are new in their positions, know nothing about front desk position and have no idea how to make a front desk run smooth and professional. 

Training is non existent and you are set up for failure which makes your job and position very stressful.

They have no protocol in place on how to handle a crisis at the front desk but told "they are working on one". After 6 mths they still don't have anything in place and reception is still dealing with crisis. This makes for a very unprofessional environment,  nervous and tense situation for clients who are waiting for their appointments.

Management and HR are condescending, bullies and created a toxic environment for employees in the reception position.

First red flag was HR supervisor who hired me left before I started and had only been there for a few months. Carizon has a very high turn over for employees which means nothing ever gets resolved or done.

Advertising for 6 mths. for a receptionist should send a red flag.

Its like a bunch of business's running in the same building and no one knows what the other department does. Very poorly run and organized.

Have never worked in such a toxic environment before and am thankful I'm no longer there.

A typical day of work included a bus trip to whichever location I was assigned for the day, and completing assigned inspections in that location until I moved on to the next one. As a Youthforce inspector, I documented damages, concerns, and unusual occurrences in Waterloo Regional Housing units. The hardest part of the job would be the forms that we use to document the damages as part of the job, they're unintuitive and barely functional. The best part of the job is the social interaction you receive between the tenants and your co-workers.

-Supportive work environment and excellent teamwork, staff are not competing with each other
-Management is always open to ideas to improve services and quality of services
-Employees are given the ability to use their judgement in making decisions without being questioned by management
-There is flexibility in schedules and accommodations made for work-life balance (like picking children up from school etc).
-There is a commitment by management to offer employees pay raises on a yearly basis

I did my practicum here a few years back and it was so rich thanks to the excellent staff, especially those who had been there a while. I was provided training
and ongoing supervision and the staff was really receptive to questions and to offering support anytime you needed it. I think this place often and fondly and would highly recommend it as a place to study or work - it’s a really great place to land. 

Program planning for children at Corizans, a school for children with special needs. Most of the children that attend this school are on a high spectrum of ADHD, Autism and Bi-polar disorder. 
  My job was to implement active games or leisure activites that would benfit these children to grow more mentally, spiritually and cognitively.

Culture is key & Family oriented atmosphere. Many opportunites to work in different mental health programs. Focus is on family & how to provide the best overall service to families from prevention to intensive treatment

Some staff are great, while many others are toxic. Same with management. Easily burnt out because of constant change in roles and direction of programs

High expectations of staff, lots of opportunities to grow and build social work skills. Majority of Supervisors and Managers are easy to get along with and genuinely care about the staff. 

Lack of consideration for non permanent employees by management.  Management is removed from the reality of their temp employees and they are very unappreciated.  Management has a long way to go.

Management needs a complete overhaul. Give no thought to how devestating they are when cutting contracts off with no warning. But give great performance reviews
