The place used to be amazing! It was a joy to go to work, but then sometime during Covid, management changed and it all went downhill. You only got ahead if you sucked up to management with treats and sweets. The company turns record profits but can't be bothered to pay their employees more for the "great work" they do. Appreciation is a lollipop and a thank you card. Really pathetic. 
It used to be a great company. The people cared about each other, and worked really well together to reach the end goal and while it was never perfect, that made going to work there less of a chore. But then management changed and it wasn't what you know but who you know to get ahead. The favouritism is super high and really disgusting. They lost the best supervisors after the second and third year I was working there and it never got better after that.

I have been with Carter’s for quite some time, and throughout my experience I have not felt supported by management. While I understand that customers are important, there must also be a balance in protecting employees when situations cross the line into harassment.

I was told that reviews do not matter, yet at the same time, when harassment from customers occurs, there is no support or resolution offered. This leaves employees feeling unprotected and undervalued. In addition, while my coworkers have been kind, there has never been true teamwork or managerial support in addressing these situations.

The lack of support and respect for employees’ well-being and opinions has ultimately led to my decision not to continue with this company. A healthy work environment requires both customer care and employee care, and unfortunately, I did not experience that balance here.

The job itself was very simple but they made it very stressful with their high expectations, lack of direction and overall poor attitude towards new employees. Hanging clothing on a hanger is easy but the employees micromanage your every move. It was like they purposely didn't want new people to join their group. It felt very immature. When the manager wasn't there the other employees would act like they were in charge and stand around while the new employees did all the work. I would've loved to continue that type of work but the environment was too toxic. Could hear the other employees talk smack about the new employees as if we couldn't hear them in such a small store.

Nothing they under value good employees, treat good people like trash... horrible place to work.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They don't appreciate anything you do. When you're an Asm with no manager in the store they use you. Horrible district managers. Always playing favoritism.

Toxic, over worked, under valued

Killing my self.  My mental health from working here was a disaster best thing I ever did was leave.

Great team and coworkers. Good working environment.

The workload can pile up sometimes, and become stress to carry out.

Attend to customers, Restock and Replenish the store, Clean the Store

I love to learn new things,managers are wonderful in supporting and teaching you new things about customer service.The best part is all the cute babies that come in with their moms.If your wanting to be a part of a great team this is a great company to work for as they are all about supporting you in any way that they can.

Fun work environment, such an amazing team at the Toronto premium outlets location. Everybody gets along an helps one another out. So much room for advancement. If they really like your work productivity they will promote you even if your a new hire

I learn how to do one thing, then next week you're like "sike it's all different now, learn it again". The system wasn't broken, why are you changing it all the time. You don't give us enough hours for keyholders to be there enough to learn all of these new changes. If you're going to make us re-learn everything all the time, give us more hours so we can be there to actually learn it. 

The location I worked at was a gong show. At the time of my hiring, the manager was leaving, and there was no replacement. Did not have a manager for a while, then lost assistant manager. The other key holder and I were the “managers” getting paid minimum wage for a couple months. New management since I left so maybe it’s better :D. HR is also useless

Everything will be taught to you. Managers and shift leaders are so nice and very helpful. Everyone is nice. If only they can give full time hours to sales associates, this would be perfect! But if you’re specifically looking for a part-time job, this job will be perfect for you.
