During my time at the Caruso, I learnt that success in a team is easier when you have consistency and understanding and great communication. In a restaurant setting, communicating makes or breaks your success, listening and repeating and #1 rules to aiding in satisfaction within your customers. On a regular week to week basis, I met new people and became an ambassador to the hospitality aspect of the Caruso, I use to go out of jurisdiction to insure satisfactory service.
The hardest part of my position as a bartender, was the drama that came with being Liable for situations that were unpredictable. You can never predict intoxication, nor can you predict situations that come from intoxication, but I learnt to be patient and assist is calming and resolving aggression and anger within people. 
Lastly, the best of my position in the Caruso, was the family vibes you constantly felt within this organization. I was always confident that my management was there for aiding in stress, and difficult situations, as well as teaching me the business ethics, and fundamentals to liabilities, licensing and policies and procedures. My management also showed me the importance of hard work and self esteem to motivate you to have positive attributes to your career.

employee morale is low nobody really enjoys working there and grumble to each other about their unhappiness because even when you discuss things with management they do nothing about it to improve things.   The management team screams & yells at ppl when they do something wrong which is very unprofessional!
There is no fairness, equality, employee appreciation or job security but lots of nepotism.  The rules for one person aren't necessarily the same for someone else depending if you are a relative or a friend or just a regular worker - there isn't even an attempt to mask the favouritism that goes on there.  
A lot is expected of the employees but there is no real reward for being a hard worker & going the extra mile.  Dead end job!

A typical shift is about 10 to 12 hours long, consisting of setting up the bar, serving and cleaning up after customers, and clearing the bar at the end of the night. From this job, I've learned a great deal about teamwork, as you are almost always working with someone, and about responsibility because management isn't always looking over your shoulder. They expect that you will do a great job and you don't want to disappoint them. The hardest part of this job would be at the height of the night when the bar is packed and you are either serving many different people almost at once, or having to go around and clean up all of the tables. This happens to also be the most enjoyable part of the job, as you are never bored and are constantly meeting new people.

The Caruso Club is an Italian styled banquet hall and buffet restaurant. On a typical shift I am responsible for setting tables with linens, cutlery and any other required pieces for what event we would be setting up for ( i.e. Wedding, Anniversary, Reunion, Galas, Fundraisers etc.)  Over the time, the skills that I have learned are: time management, patience, the proper way to set up tables and tending to the customers needs.

A typical day at work would be sitting in a room with my co-worker watching over all the coats. I learned to be more organized. My boss and manager were so nice and I got along great with them. I loved my co-workers. The hardest part of the job was dealing with angry drunk customers. The most enjoyable part of the job was being with my co-workers.

A good startup job for any young high school student with no experience, and is okay with an intolerable and hard to understand management style. Be prepared to get shoved into every shift with no knowledge of what you’re actually supposedly to be doing.

The Caruso Club is a very good place to work at for a first job, it doesn't have any set work hours, you'll get called in to work whenever they need you, however, if you are a woman, you will get longer shifts with little to no break time. If you work at around dinner time, you will get a plate of food and break time to eat.

Had washed dishes, helped plate food, took out grease, threw out boxes and bused tables. There are a lot of different aspects to working in a kitchen. Management was good. The co-workers I worked with were good people. Working from 3 in the afternoon until 3 in the morning was the hardest. I mostly enjoyed taking out the grease and taking the boxes out.

Great venue to experience various cultural and ethnic groups. Good working environment. Many opportunities for personal growth and life experiences especially interpersonal relationships.

they we're very mean. the people that worked there were always mean and underappreciated me because i was younger. i was yelled at because the other girl with my name messed up. it was a mess and was very unorganized.
