The day at celestica will begin with a team meeting, and then each individual will go back to their assigned task (manufacturing line) and continue their unfinished work, or take on a new inverter to assemble the mechanical components. 

The work environment and the coworkers are very friendly and helpful, however it is a very fast paced workplace. The workers are required to meet their quota for the assembly and testing. 

During my work in Celestica, I have learnt great team management and time management skills. I have to time myself, and decide upon which task can be done in a given period, and also prioritize with respect to the delivery request. This job also requires the worker to be in constant communication with the manufacturing line lead and the supervisor, feeding them with constant progress report regarding the status off the assembly of the inverter. 

The hardest part of the job that I encountered is during my training. I had to go through a steep learning curve, and learn about a lot of materials and assembly instructions. 

The most enjoyable part of the job was the team work, I enjoyed working with my coworkers they were encouraging and helpful, and I always get the sense of accomplishment upon finishing my task on time, and also the recognition I have got due to my work from my supervisor and my seniors.

Pros:
- Good work culture, extremely nice employees who are always willing to help you out.

- Quite a few opportunities to learn new skills and processes.

- Flexible hours and paid overtime depending on your department. 

- Annual bonus based on company performance.

- Benefits are well structured with 3 different tier options.

- Working on class 3 electrical assemblies which are in high demand in the current market.

Cons:
- Below average salary, with no lucrative vertical growth opportunities.

- Very limited work from home.

- Paid overtime begins after working 44 hours. From 40 - 44 hours you are basically working for free.


All in all, Celestica is a great place to work at if you're just starting out in your career. It's a fast-paced manufacturing environment with quite a few learning opportunities given that you put the effort into looking for them. Unfortunately, the poor salary and career progression don't entice new employees to stay long-term. Upper management always boast about the benefits and annual bonus however these are offered at majority companies anyways with the addition to higher base salaries and structured vertical growth.



I really enjoyed this team work. Everyday have to pay attention to focus soldering every points and make sure every points is completely done. I feel I did arts job every day also very comfortable. Through the work i learned  one thing that is critical, is the fact that each solder/braze materiel must have the correct flux to work properly. soft solders have at least 3 varietiesof flux :acid gel, acid fluid, and non-corrosive flux which may have rosin as a base.As a rule the gel flux esarefor tougher situations like jewelry and crafts and are easier to work with. A fluid flux is better on level surface, but work no better than gel.... A rosin flux is a poor flux, but is widely seen as the ticket for electronics due to lack of corrosion.... anyway have to keep the iron tip clean. Clean tips transmit heat best and save time and money.

Learned everything from the manufacturing process, information technology, lean, six sigma, warehousing, after-market services, supply chain, leadership, personnel safety and many others.

Management is very fair and by the book sometimes to much which negatively impacts some employees. Sometime being too fair comes at a cost to employees who consistently exceed expectations.

The hardest part of the job is finding new and efficient ways of doing this, but this is a challenge that we are constantly encouraged and motivated to accomplish, which brings many rewards from personal growth and satisfaction to sometimes financial rewards.

Most enjoyable part is the ability to continually grow and learn new things on the job and through furthering education at the company's expense.

I liked to brag about what I did at Celestica. I was hired as an electrical assembler, but it was the product, the customers, my team, and the company that made me feel like my job really mattered. I left for school, and would happily return if I get the opportunity to live close enough again. My team became like a family to me, we all felt appreciated and valued, and we were all encouraged to be and do better in our work. We solved problems as a team and helped develop new solutions with the company's engineers. Working at Celestica gave me a clear idea of what I look for in a workplace.

Throughout our global network our Centres of Excellence for automation focus on activities including robotics and system assembly, end-to-end applications integrated with test, automated manufacturing services, collaborative robots and autonomous guided vehicles.

A typical day in a buyer's role requires emailing, phone calls and attending meetings on a regular basis. Continuous communication with suppliers, internal team, and customer. No formal training about what the company does; only job shadowing and mentoring involved. Management needs to adopt newer ideas in terms of completing tasks rather than constantly escalating situations. Most importantly, interns are not taken seriously or valued. The most enjoyable part was going home. Overall, the company needs to re-evaluate their culture and how to treat their employees. A very negative environment that needs some serious change.

Pros:
The yearly bonus is good if you perform well.
There are some good people there.
If you're young, you will find that there are a lot of interns here. If you're more experienced, you will realize that this can lead to an unprofessional work culture at times.

Cons:
Company is rife with politics.
Some members of management are VERY incompetent and like to push work to other departments.
They pay their employees poorly. 
Lots of people are very reluctant to help on projects across teams - there is an ownership problem.
This company runs like a supply chain company - if you are in an engineering role, you will probably be doing close to NO engineering. Not a good learning experience and unless you want to just be paper-pushing, look elsewhere.

Advice to management:
It is your job to be preventing company politics, not to be participating in it.

As a former employee of Adecco at Celestica, I will only be able to review my experience at the Celestica factory. During my first two weeks at the factory, I was initially nervous with the task of soldering the bus bars of the solar panels. However, I got over it and it became my usual task during the first half of the fall of 2012. Afterwards I was moved to framing the panels. What I found most exciting was seeing how the solar panels were slowly put together and the teamwork involved in it all. What I enjoyed about the job is knowing that by working with the team at manufacturing the solar technologies, I was actually contributing to a greener future one panel at a time and that made me proud.

1.	Used CANalyzer on a daily basic to collect Vehicle CAN signals (HS-1)
2.	Used CANoe to obtain digital communication logs between vehicle and the charger.
3.	CANoe was used extensively to simulate EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) which was an ethernet based sniffing tool.
4.	A tool called Comemso ™ was used heavily which was CANoe based and went in the middle between EV and EVSE and acted as a sniffer which collected both CAN logs from Vehicle and EVSE.
5.	Used INCA and Neovi and powercal2 , tools approximately 3 years ago on FCA and GM.
6.	Last 2.5 years it has only been Vector Tools and some European/Asian tools and applications such as
•	Comemso 
•	MStar, 
•	Ebee, 
•	Iotecha
•	DET (Ford Internal)
All of the above-mentioned tools were used to collect vehicle logs from Ford Electric and other competitive electric vehicles.
