Centreplate

Centreplate is very well managed and a great company to work for. The shifts are always something new, either a hockey game or a concert and you're always surrounded by great people. As one of my first jobs as a young teen this job helped me learn many of my customer service skills. A typical day for a canteen/bar worker would be to receive your cash bag and location of where you'll be for the night, set up your station, then prepare for when the crowds come. when you close up you would count your till, clean the station, and do inventory of the products you didn't sell. at the beginning of shifts we use these numbers to double check open inventory.Very exciting work and tips are a good bonus.

Good place to work if you've got little to no experience, great for students or people who just want extra cash. Hours do usually go until after jet games (12-2am for clean up of the street party) so if the bus is your main source of transportation, you might want to reconsider. the job can be both fast paced and slow paced depending on how busy or how many orders are needed to be delivered. Management is great, co-workers too.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good group of people to work with. Enjoyed the many different events put on by Keystone Center. Lots of interesting people to meet and greet. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Winter Fair week.busiest time of the year. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Positive. Good people, great food. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
All depends on what is scheduled for that day in particular.

The people, the atmosphere and the workload are all amazing and simple, the head and lead chef know exactly what they are doing and are some of the most professional, caring and down to earth gentlemen I've ever worked with, although its seasonal I will definitely be back and if you see and opening I suggest you take it  ( all of is were let go due to covid 19

I enjoy working at Centreplate because it is always packed with people cheering for there favorite teams. My crew members are always ready to work and we seem to have fun throughout the shift

Pretty good place to work, if you don’t like people you won’t like it though. It’s fast paced and you need to be able to deal with all kinds of customers. From kids to elders to drunks. It’s fun though. 

It was a fun and overall good experience for a starting job I would recommend to anyone looking for their first job so they can get some experience under their belt

pick up food from kitchen, run it to clients in their seats, organize orders, help with food prep, clean and sanitize work areas at the end of each shift.

If you wanna work for centreplate here’s what you gotta know if you’re working concession all your allowed is too drink out of medical triangle cups..

honestly, not a very good fit for my first job. Very highly competitive, stressful and no wage. They do hire on the spot, but if you have experience it's just best to look somewhere else.
