Working at Centurion has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The culture here is deeply rooted in care, compassion, and a genuine commitment to people, whether it’s our residents, our team members, or the communities we serve.

I know many will say this about their workplace, however, I have the privilege of working alongside passionate, driven, and thoughtful individuals every day. These are people who go above and beyond for one another and for our residents. Whether we are navigating challenges or celebrating wins, there is always a sense of unity and mutual respect.
I also appreciate Centurion’s passion for developing the leaders of tomorrow. Many new roles within the company as we grow are filled with those who have started in entry level or mid-level management and grown into the future leaders of the company.  
Centurion's processes and structure help ensure high standards and operational excellence, but it’s the culture of empathy and support that makes it feel like more than just a workplace. It’s a team, it’s a community, and it’s a company I’m proud to be a part of.


Everyone looks after each other. It's inspiring and motivating to speak with those levels above you in general or work-related conversations. Each time you are reminded everyone has their ego at bay and that is humbling. I respect the humility of the executive team as everyone's thoughts, feedback and suggestions are valuable, everyones, no exceptions to where you may be on the org chart.

We are well taken care of in every aspect. Work/life balance is amazing, the company is generous, everyone is respectful. Vast majority build solid relationships with eachother whether or not their roles connect in any way. Politics and gossip do not exist that I have ever experienced. All conversations are about our families, friends, trending news and the like.
Specific to my role, there are many lines of support who operate with the utmost integrity, specifically the HR team.

I strongly advise against accepting an offer from this company. The environment is deeply unprofessional and disrespectful. Even if you have a supportive direct manager, upper management—especially one individual from the Toronto office—frequently undermines them in front of others, issuing orders in a demeaning and authoritative tone. It creates a toxic power dynamic and shows a total lack of respect.

Work-life balance is non-existent. You’re expected to be available 24/7, and boundaries are not respected at all.

The property conditions are appalling. Most of the apartments are infested with roaches, and while upper management is fully aware of this, they consistently fail to take any meaningful action. Instead, they shift the blame onto on-site staff during inspections.

Overall, this is not a healthy or sustainable work environment, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for professional growth or personal well-being.

Working at Centurion was one of the most stressful experiences of my career. The workload was overwhelming, and staffing was constantly stretched thin, leaving employees to pick up the slack with little support. Communication from management was poor, and feedback was often dismissive rather than constructive. Being expected to answer a work phone 24/7 added even more stress and made it impossible to fully disconnect from the job. There was minimal recognition for hard work, and morale among staff was consistently low. While the paycheck was steady, the high stress, lack of work–life balance, and unsupportive environment made it unsustainable in the long run.

Please note working in this company does not allow you to have a day off. They expect you to carry the phone and answer to emergencies 24/7. 

The job itself is not difficult.  Standard tenant relations and resident manager job.  The issue is management. Local management that is. Haven’t had much experience with anyone outside of my PM but my PM will micromanage me but not everyone.

Myself I worked as often as I could.  Always volunteered to work on call for weekends that I wasn’t scheduled for. Covered for vacationing coworkers and I always got the butt end of the stick.  I would be expected to everything by the book at all times and certain employees were allowed to have full time jobs outside the company which goes against the company policy.  2 people did the work of 5 and got the worst of managements wrath.  Physically and mentally draining.  My job was threatened several times for simple mistakes.  Just don’t work here.  

For a company of its size and presence - I expected more standardized processes and procedures with the accompanying toolkits for more productive and efficient operation management at site level.  They promote being receptive to feedback and insight but in my experience - the management team never swayed from their own agenda.  Upon my decision to leave the company - I provided a full months notice to enable them to strategically backfill my role - needless to say - no one was hired prior to my departure and once someone was hired - the individual was told by management that they showed me the door.  It was a good experience for me as I was forced to take the bull by the horns in my role and I learnt a lot about myself but I could not recommend working here.  Employee beware.

A typical day involves managing full-cycle recruitment, partnering with hiring managers, interviewing candidates, and ensuring a strong candidate experience. I’ve learned how to balance speed, quality, and stakeholder expectations while building teams aligned with business needs. Management is supportive, collaborative, and trusts employees to take ownership of their work. The workplace culture is professional, fast-paced, and team-oriented, with a strong focus on performance and continuous improvement. The hardest part of the job is managing competing priorities and tight timelines in a growing organization. The most enjoyable part is building strong teams and seeing the direct impact great hires have on the company’s success.

My experience working at Centurion has been amazing. The leaders of the company are easy to talk to and the team is very supportive. The work that is done at the company is impactful. The company has cultivated an environment where there is mutual trust and respect between employees and everyone works towards a common goal. Personally, I have developed professionally and I feel appreciated. It is an excellent workplace for those who want to work in an encouraging atmosphere and I recommend it.

Centurion & The Marq portfolio specifically is probably the most poorly managed company I've seen in my years in property management as well as other industries. Their head office is unable to accept and understand criticism, they send directives down and do not care whether they are plausible or not. It's no wonder people turnover at this company all the time, just keep your eyes out, they'll rehire all staff within 6 months I'd say. They are unable to coach or help their employees, they simply hand down directives and reprimand site staff when their cockamamie ideas inevitably fail. My advice is to stay far away from this company.

Overall Centurion is a great company to work for. I have been in the Property Management industry for 6 years and overall I would say this is the best experience I have had.  Upper Management is supportive and acknowledges their staff.  Overall we have a great team who are positive and enjoy their jobs.  I find the salary and benefits to be the same or better than other companies I have worked. Centurion overall makes smart business decisions and listens to their staff. Unfortunately with any company in Property Management, work life balance is sometimes an issue, but I don’t feel this is a fault of Centurion just nature of the business.
