Great restoration cabinetry department that helps people get get home after disasters. Fabrication and install and everything in between. I love the team spirit of young journeyman and red seal cabinet makers that are all passionate about cabinetry.  

We work everywhere and build everything from kitchens to apartments and commercial millwork. 

It’s always amazing to do the initial assessment after a flood or fire and see the damage and the upset, but then to be the team that rebuilds and gets people home. Very satisfying. 

There’s always new construction jobs, multi units, residential and everything in between so it’s always different and interesting. 

Not sure what else to say other that it’s a great company that’s growing massively, is seen as a leader in the restoration industry and is apart of the A1Group a huge growing Canadian company. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Easy going nature from the staff to your co workers. Everyone has agood sense of humour and are willing to give you whatever help they can. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes the commute and or parking at site. ( which is common in most jobs.) And the odd tight deadline or seemingly impossible task. Other than that. Nothing.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Inclusive, good natured, and informal. As was mentioned in my opening comment. Good people from the Head of the company, on down. I'm Still missed by the staff and crew.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Easy going mornings, busy midday, then hectic push to the end to have that excellent feeling of  a job well done!

I can only express my experience as other might differ but I found working here to be a toxic work environment. 

From how management dealt with the work flow of there employees using a phone app that tracked everything from work done in the day to employees location. To how there was a division from the installers to shop crew. Lack of experience with people in key roles, large attitudes, the un-willing ness to take advice, and overall unprofessionalism. 

I also found that there was very much anti-vax opinions within this company, for a company that sends employees to clinics homes and companies I felt that this was unprofessional. 

At the time of writing this review I would not recommend working for this company

I worked at this company for a few years and honestly it was a pretty tough experience overall. Day to day operations are messy and not well organized, and a lot of the processes feel old and outdated. Most of the time it feels like there's no real structure or proper leadership in place. The owner also regularly asks employees and even other people to leave a 5 star google reviews, which I found strange and kind of concerning. There's very little opportunity to grow or move up, no matter how long you stay. Job security is another issue, guys can be let go pretty quickly if there's any disagreement. Even if you put in the hard work and do your job well, it often goes unnoticed here.

The team has cultivated a toxic work environment and only values those who agree with them, adopting the authoritarian leadership style.

They don't understand the realities of the workplace for the dedicated employees who typically choose a company like this. They are quick to make knee-jerk decisions that rarely take into account the well-being or sense of safety of the staff.

The workload is overwhelming. Most positions would realistically require extra hours to meet expectations. Training and support are minimal for most roles, yet the expectations remain excessively high, even for new employees.

I've worked for several restoration company's and by far Centurion is the best one ive worked for mike is a great ceo and easily approachable and the p.ms actually listen to the guys in the field and other trades in the company aren't out to back stab each other trying to make themselves look good ,there's no perfect company's out there to work for but after 20 plus years in the trades this one is pretty dam close in my option

Makes you realize that it can't get any worse.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Leadership that doesn't believe in standards and excellence.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic... can't trust leadership...

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Filling out Work Performance Reviews because turnover is so high.

I've been employed by Centurion for a little over 2 months now. I came to this company from a union shop, the wages and perks/benefits are on par and in some cases better than what I was getting with the Union. I would highly recommend working for them

As a carpenter, they give you a lot of freedom. You get a work order the night before, pick up materials you need in the morning to do the job then go to the job and complete. Sometimes working with other carpenters/ trades and coordinating with them and the PM. That was a typical day for me. You do get the odd job that is a nightmare but for the most part i enjoyed working here.

 that traffic jam in rush hour

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
pretty good. everybody was nice in this company.
