Charcoal Steak House

Great for anyone wanting the experience of working in a large scale restaurant, if you can handle the extreme work environment for the amount of money you make.
I had no social life outside of work because in order to actually LIVE i had to work ridiculous split shifts for just over minimum wage.
I came to find less qualified male counterparts were making over $3 more than I was to do less work, so that was wonderful.
Over all, if you're a male and willing to work yourself to the bone for next to no pay, totally work here.

Was a fun place to work 10 years ago. My co workers still there say it is much different now. Working split shifts was sometimes not fun.
Having an hour off in the middle of the afternoon. Not really enough time to go home. 50% off food on your break, but you had to eat it there. Good vibe in the dining room. Everyone gets along pretty well

As hostess I would open or close the restaurant as well as book reservations for three other restaurants as well as the Steak House and seat guests.  I enjoyed seeing regular clients at the restaurant who you build a friendly relationship with.

Charcoal steak house is My first job place in Canada and I really like it. It’s a good place to work also it’s a good place to know about kitchen Stuff and Cooking for the people who like doing that

Charcoal was a great place to work! Super awesome team of people and very fast paced environment! Beautiful restaurant, and always keeping up with new trends food wise! The money was fantastic and the patrons were amazing!

Fast paced and high expectations but very doable. U get about one week training before ur by yourself but there is always help so ask for it. It can get very stressful sometimes as it is a big restaurant with loyal customers

the job was fun it was easy, once you got the hang of it, the surrounding parts of the job such as making friends or learning new ways to cook or make the meal a certain way for the guest that was pretty cool

I've worked here for almost 10 years and some of the best people I've worked beside.
I'm only leaving now because I'm moving away, I will miss everyone there.

Great atmosphere, learned new programs and skills. Excellent team to work with and I was able to gain a lot of new experience which I can bring with me throughout my career

Loved working under management. Very accommodating environment and a well maintained team. Would recommend to someone looking to work in the food industry.
