Working at Charmed Aroma you will find that although your team will not be big, you will all share a very close bond. Having a small team has been pleasant as we get to know who we are working with and feel comfortable to share or thoughts and coaching options with each other. 
     Overall, working at charmed aroma is suitable for anyone who likes working sales (not commission based) and have a friendly and polite approach to everyone they meet. 
 A typical day would go according:
- you come in and clock in, grab your name tag and sign in on the pod system on the floor.
- check the Daily production page to see what your sales goal is for the day and any other Information regarding merchandising, breaks, lost and prevention updates as well as the daily targets. 
( you are not required to hit your goal everyday, however it is encouraged that you try your best to achieve it or to even over achieve) 
- one of the the most important roles in this job no matter your position, is to ensure that every single customer is greeted as they walk into the store (this helps with sales ) 

Some days you may be on shipment duty, so that means putting all new product out on the sales floor following the proper merchandise plan. 

There will never be a period within the day where you are bored as they’re are lists of things to do to keep you busy and not watching the clock tick. 

Overall, I think that this job is a great place for anyone comfortable selling things to people, talking to clients to better under there needs, anyone who gets along very well with management and coworkers- who will also come to work with a positive spirit and feel comfortable to express anything they are feeling.. because at the end of the day everyone working is like a close Knit family, and we all want to see eachother thrive. 


a very hush hush company to work for. extremely toxic field management that would pin their managers and associates against each other. merchandising and smelling new products was the most enjoyable part of the job. they’re not afraid to get rid of anyone once the job is done since we’re disposable. absolutely no job security and the field managers constantly contradict each other and company policies/standards. the higher-ups love making fun of store managers behind their backs.  head office seems to work in cliques and talk behind your back. absolutely a waste of time if you don’t fall into their “criteria”. be prepared to lie to clients about jewlery composition, and wait weeks for merchandising materials to arrive. sales goals are astronomically high and pallets don’t arrive for weeks so you have nothing to sell in order to meet store goals, don’t even think about getting the base bonus (they make it seem like they’re doing you a favour if you get it, and you only got it by breaking your back trying to reach unrealistic goals). they will reprimand your for not completing tasks yet they don’t tell you about them or train you until almost a year in the position. they will make you walk around the mall and see what promotions and tactics competitors are doing and report back to the CEO. they will hire literally anyone and everyone for the lowest pay possible. 

I want to start by saying that some of my colleagues were incredibly hard working and talented people, and that was the only reason many of us stayed so long. It truly was a camaraderie that kept many of us sane.  

I should have known from the initial job interview what was in store. The owners only cared about maximizing profits. They hired at head office based on your experience at bigger companies, so they could leach as much industry information out of you. There was no work/life balance, the owners had no sense of boundaries and every single head office employee was contacted at any time via WhatsApp (weekends, late at night, on vacation). No work phones were given, so your personal phone was bombarded with (often) stressed out messages from the two owners. 

Everyone was incredibly overworked and undervalued. Tasks that weren’t remotely related to your job were piled on to an already crushing workload. There was no HR, no support structure. Every day was chaotic. 

Rising prices and diminished quality has finally isolated their once loyal customer base. I have heard that they have moved on to selling Temu wheelchairs and eyelashes (you read that correctly). Best of luck to them. 

A typical day at work involves walking into a filthy office, with dust and candle chemicals in the air, and a manager that slams dishes around when in a bad mood. It is then followed by endless, pointless meetings that go off-topic every day, and a lack of structure.  

Management uses texting instead of one stream of communication like email, which causes a lot of conflicts, and they will message you often at night off-work hours to tell you that you made a mistake on something that could wait until the next morning.

There is no HR department; there is no strong leadership. It was a confusing and frustrating experience. There is no safe place to voice your concern, and they will lie to you.

The hardest part of the job is the culture and disorganization,  lack of trust, and employee complaints.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the ability to work from home.

I learned that without a strong leader and defined roles, for me, it is complicated to navigate this kind of environment.

A sales associate role here is pretty easy, except you’re standing for a big part of it. Pretty straightforward, nothing exciting. What makes it go from average to bad is the community. If you’re not super extroverted and chatty, you’re basically ostracized. During my time there, my other coworkers would stand in a little circle in the corner talking about stuff while I would be the only one on till helping customers. Every once in a while they would glance at me to make sure I was working and then go back to chatting. If I wasn’t working VERY hard to get customer’s attention, I was simply told to get into a “sales attitude” while they would go back to chatting in the back. Also they tried to make me work while I was sick. But overall, favouritism is a HUGE problem here. 

The management of this company is terrible. There is too much drama that goes on within head office, the district manager, and the chief of operations. The mentality that these people have is so unprofessional and childish. They violate so many labour laws in their workplace and don’t take anything employees say seriously when we voice our concerns. The security cameras they have installed in the store and in their backroom records audio and everyone in head office and all the managers listen to employees private conversations without consent. This is illegal and no employee was officially asked if they consented to the recording of audio. Employees have expressed their discomfort about this and we were ignored. This company is by far the worst company I have ever worked with.

The overall flow of the work environment at Charmed Aroma was consistent, with its occasional busy days and rush hours. As an employee working for this company, I was given the opportunity to expand my collaboration skills, as well as how to value the needs of the customers, through the teachings of my managers. I was fortunate enough to be able to sell and share the concept of a brand that fabricates products of personal interest. This is not a commission-based job, but instead an hourly- paying one. I would recommend this job as a stepping stone; a chance to build your experience in understanding and representing a brand, while assisting and collaborating with customers.

Great colleagues, the store always smelt clean and nice. My manager was stealing from the store and sleeping with the boss in head office and they both got fired. Messy company to work for. They will make you work in un safe conditions ( people with a contagious pink eye) no room for a salary increase, and no clear communication with head office. They expect you to use what's app and communicate outside of work hours and then if you did not answer you would be in trouble. They would want store displays done while the store is open and help customers at the same time and then if store goals were not met we were ridiculed and had to do a weekly worksheet to say our biggest sales in detail and how we did it.  Was a very relaxed and fun environment until it wasn't anymore. 

Head management is not easy to work with but in-store coworkers and direct management were fine. Work/life balance was alright but certainly not split fairly and often hours were granted to people management liked best. Tasks were extremely orderly so this would cause turmoil with coworkers who would be asked to sweep & mop while another stands behind the counter to hide from work and delegate tasks. Pay was alright for a mall gig but I had to make multiple attempts at gaining a raise before ever actually receiving one despite my hard work, dedication and loyalty to this company.

Management was amazing, she truly cared about the workers and prioritized them. it was well up kept. Everything was organized and maintained so the workers had the best experience that they could

Everyone as a team and together

you’d either work by yourself or with someone else, but it was not a stressful time alone, you had all the proper training to know how to handle any situation that could occur in the manager was always available to contact to help you
