Cheesecake Cafe

Management at the Cheesecake Café in Medicine Hat have treated me with respect and listened to and tried to accommodate my needs. They take the time to tell me that I am doing well at my job. While working at this job I have learned new skills (cake decorating) something I had never done before even at home. 

My co-workers are a lot of fun. There is a quite a large staff, as it is a big restaurant. 

The hardest part of my job would have to be working on my feet all day. Also in prep when you are done you go home so my hours are totally dependent on how busy we are. Fortunately we are busy most of the time.

The best part of the job is the opportunity I get to actually cook food from scratch. When I leave the Cheesecake Café it will be hard to leave the management and staff because they are great people.

I enjoyed my employment at the Cheesecake Cafe up until noticing loss of managers and employees consistently. I had missed out on hours and shifts due to unorganized management. 

I do not regret my employment there as I did make very many customers as friends - and knowing the customers I served quite often returned for my service, made me quite happy.

Management is extremely unfair. They choose favorites, and if you are not one of them they treat you with disrespect, give you poor shifts, and talk about you behind your back.

They don't have any standards when it comes to the way staff can treat each other or speak to each other.

They fire people without cause on a regular basis.

somedays I would look forward to working, on those days Id be positioned in the food prepping area. its a lovable place ive grown used to. working with food at a reasonable pace talking with others.
dishwashing days were the days I kept silent and focused. sometimes I wouldn't speak at all during my shift. those days were really boring.

While at the Cheesecake Cafe I really enjoyed being a hostess and being the first face of the restaurant. The staff was friendly and upbeat it was almost like a small family. 

Seeing how happy customers would be when they would get their custom Cheesecakes for birthdays or special occasions it would put a smile to my face.

Buss Tables and Host

Have great customer service, organized, and clean efficiently, set tables properly.

Managment was always there to help/support me.

Co-workers were very friendly and always there to give me a helping hand.

Being rushed on busy nights.

Work independently.

Very fun place to work and tons of opportunity for promotion if you work hard. The people you work with are great, discounts on the food and a great place to interact with people.

the most enjoyable part of being a server at any place to me, is meeting new people everyday. there is always something different in each day in one way or the other and thats what i love about the job.

Hours were fantastic, management was incredible, enjoyed my time there as a host/bartender thoroughly. Great place to start in food service industry as restaurant was always busy

Learned lots, time management, good people, awesome food. highly recommended. I love cooking so it was a good fit. loved the busy rush times and the focus on quality
