Chudleigh’s needs to modernize. They need leaders with experience and know how. What have now is people who have been there forever and loyalty is great but not at the expense of progress. You don’t need to fire them maybe but know when they have hit their ceiling. Turn over in the last 6 months to a year is out of control. Management sees this as a money issue, it’s not. It’s culture and management style. A couple sour apples if you will that everyone has issues with ruin a lot of potential. These issues are never addressed directly because the owners for whatever reason protect them. 

There are excellent people in positions below management that are great and could move the company forward but as the turn over shows  they hit walls get frustrated and or mislead and leave. This company has amazing potential but continues to grab defeat out of the hands of victory. The owners who were once invested seem more worried about planning vacations then the current status of their employees and company. 

This company has some good features like great recognition programs, company up time awards, and decent benefits. 

Although it is not a good place to be right now it has potential to be more but if it isn’t fixed soon it also has potential to get worse. 

I would not recommend this company at this time.

As Chudleighs is growing, it can be difficult to decide how to integrate new best practices and systems without losing the wonderful family  culture that has made the company successful to date. Some people struggle to understand the change required while others struggle to appreciate the past. That is not a bad thing and is a natural transition for growth as we learn to integrate new thinking with historical strength. Not everyone may see it, however the management team spends a considerable amount of time trying to figure out how move forward to benefit both employees and our customers. Sure, sometimes we can miss the mark and struggle. However everyone at Chudleighs is learning and growing together with opportunities for anyone who wants to move forward. One thing for sure, there are a lot of great people who are dedicated to making awesome tasting products while striving to make it a great place to work. I feel privileged to be part of the team. Way to go Chudleighs!

Chudleigh's is a very relaxed workplace with an amazing team. After a couple of months of working here, I haven't met a single person who is not extremely friendly.

The management is great as well. Assistance is always provided promptly. They make a great effort to ensure you are getting the support you need to do your job while also having a great experience.

It is a fun workplace with many activities and events taking place on a regular basis. It makes coming to work exciting. Even the CEO comes to events and socializes with employees.

Overall, it is a great company to work at. It greatly exceeded my expectations and I am very glad to be able to work here.

Every day at Chudleigh's is a different day, which I love. The culture is great where various departments actively collaborate together, to obtain one goal. We have daily taste testing opportunities, called "Moments of Happiness", monthly lunches if the targets for the month are met, and various events every month. My personal favourite is the monthly comfy casual Friday! There is ample growth for opportunity, I have worked here for 4 years now and had the opportunity to grow within 3 different roles. The hardest part of the job is how fast paced it can get, especially during our busy season. But it is great because the days go by quickly and there isn't time for being bored. 

Chudleigh's has a family friendly environment and really cares about their employees.  The appreciation for hard work and great values goes a long way.  There are a lot of recognition programs including gift cards, monthly draws, and celebration events.  It's a great company to work for if you want to have an impact, share your ideas, and grow! The company not only cares about the employees but also the community.  They support the Darling Home in Milton which cares for children with critical disabilities.  Other benefits include RRSP matching and 100% benefits coverage, education allowance, employee sale! (so you can take home the delicious desserts that are made)  I love Chudleigh's and highly recommend it.

At Chudleigh's Bakery I am constantly supported by an incredible team. Through the help of the onboarding procedures, training, as well as the continued assistance from your colleagues, you will always be prepared for anything the job brings. The culture at Chudleigh's is fantastic; through the many different company events, luncheons, delicious daily treats, and other occassions at Chudleigh's, you can tell the company looks forward to finding ways to brighten peoples days. Overall, working at Chudleigh's has already beyond exceeded my expectations - I can genuinely say that I am always excited to go to work each day. 

The job itself is tough a lot of people rely on you to do a lot of things and with no manners. Your not provided the equipment or training to do some tasks on your own so you have to ask others to stop their jobs to help you multiple times in a day like a child. The company doesn't provide you with room to grow or to increase your wage by moving positions even if you have the experience. Majority of the people there are very uneducated in English and tend to give you rude hand gestures on top of never using manners. Overall a very unpleasant place to work.

Is been really great so far. The onboarding was helpful, the management is highly organized, the HR team really makes the effort in to ensure the workplace culture overwhelmingly positive. There are daily free farm fresh apples & bakery samples from production, weekly events that are fun but easy to participate in, monthly free lunches, monthly bake "sales" where you can get a ridiculous amount of delicious baked goods for so cheap its basically free and it all goes to Charity anyway. I honestly love my job. The only downside is that I need to work on my self control to not eat all the delicious desserts daily!!!

Chudleigh's makes the most delicious and savory treats- the atmosphere also reflects that. Great people to work with, very collaborative, innovative, and genuine! Chudleigh's is HUGE on recognition, and appreciating the employees that work here. Great pay, competitive benefits and even a very generous RRSP matching program. Personal and professional development are of very high importance to the Owners and Executive committee- yearly educational allowance to top it off!

Great team to be apart of!!

In September, I started the Asset Management Project and completed that in late October. I typically assigned the asset codes, put external tags on every piece of equipment, and added all specified information in MainBoss Software. It is complicated as there were over 400 pieces of equipment at the plant, but I enjoyed doing it as I can get to know each of them.
