This was not a good place to work. Spent several years with this company, often promised promotions or development opportunities that were later reneged upon or flat out denied despite being offered by my manager. Salary increases were very uncommon (2 in seven years, each less than 3%) despite increased responsibilities and significant acknowledgement from management of my hard work, dedication, and contribution towards growing my department and its revenue. After a few years, I could tell my career was becoming stagnated because of the lack of scope and exposure to elements to truly develop myself. The company offered a lot of superfluous benefits that made it seem like a cool place to work but after a while I realized that was just a mask to cover their lack of dedication to employees.  Culture among staff was great though, everyone was friendly and got along really well but everything else just didn't make it worthwhile as a career move. I highly regret having spent so much time here, most enjoyable part of the job was leaving for another role that paid 30% more to do the same work.

Each morning and after each break they start with a pre-shift to review sales and stats
Managed approximately 700 clients, consistently surpassing monthly targets in subscription-based environment
Management is focused on numbers, numbers, numbers (ie. metrics and sales). They are too afraid of Upper Management to assist employees in communication of concerns and business practices.
Co-Workers are great. The team is highly enthusiastic and positive for the most part.
The hardest part of the job is handing the changes of upper management. They dont want any feedback from staff and when you voice your opinion you are fired.
The most enjoyable part of the job is working with clients.

This is a company without direction. The degree of micromanagement from a team of managers that are hilariously unqualified is truly unbearable and has made everyone uneasy. There is no chance to move upward, no accountability and everyone is so afraid of the boss, who long ago lost the plot with the company, that nothing gets done. Great people are let go for no reason, and everyone is unhappy. Sales techniques are anicent, useless, and the taskmaster mentality that you will suffocate under makes every day a struggle. Salries are down, down across the board, and there is little reason to expect things will improve. I cannot wait to get out. 

In all honesty, HRdownloads was likely the best employment I've ever had. They could have easily replaced me when I was going through hard times but they didn't, they did every possible thing to help me.

I, unfortunately, didn't adapt as quickly to the new environment of the company as I should. The company and its reputation was exploding and growing so quickly and I got stuck in old habits and old ways.

Eventually I parted ways with them to advance skill set and return to school. I do miss all of my friends there which includes many upper management persons. They all did a very good job of getting to know the real you and treating you as a human.

Management is pretty much a joke. They micromanage you so much that you feel you are a five year old. You cannot take time off just because you are sick, you cannot sell the product without them chasing you asking you to upgrade. They never practice what they preach. Inside relationship between employees is herrendous. Their HR manager is in a relationship with the QA team, and if that is not conflict of interest I don't know what is. The company used to be good, not anymore when you put inexperienced people in charge and pretend they know everything. They are more obsessed with the title than they are with their leadership and management.

Culture appears to be "cool" from outside however very quickly you realize that it's forced and fake. The main issue with BD there is it's very difficult to make a buck. They rather pay to cold call companies instead of properly market themselves. The sales process is very bad and hence always changing. The management is very weak, all they do is micro-manage (only poor leaders do). The BD department in reality is looked down by all other departments of the company ... So to hide all that they created a fake culture to pretend to be a modern tech company. The only positive is people (not managers or owners) who for the most part are decent.

I have worked at HRdownloads for 5+ years and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every day here. I have been provided multiple opportunities for growth and professional advancement. Through these opportunities I found a career path that works for me.

Some of my favourite things about HRd are the great teammates, frequent community involvement initiatives, and the fact that we are always innovating and pushing forward. It is a fast-paced environment with lots of change, but the challenge keeps the job interesting!

My experience at HRdownloads has been incredibly positive! I joined the company as a co-op student and had the opportunity to move into a full-time position after I finished my studies. The workplace culture and the people make HRd a great place to work! There are so many opportunities for learning, professional development and growth. HRdownloads is a very inclusive and fun place to work. Everyone is highly talented and always willing to support and collaborate with you to achieve the best. I am very proud and couldn't be happier to have joined the HRd family!

I joined HRdownloads in 2017 and have loved every minute of the last 4 years. 

When I was first hired on, I found them to be a very professional company that kept all of their promises and valued their employees as human beings. The transition period was seamless, and the communication with management has been excellent since Day 1. 

Even today, management is nothing but supportive, especially of my larger career goals. I am excited for the path my manager and I have recently discussed for my growth within the company and I look forward to many more years to come.
