I have nothing but good things to say about the city of Belleville, they know how to run their city and I felt that they had more care to there employees then any other company i have worked for in the past, in the day to day job we kept the city parks a public washrooms clean for the public to use accordingly, the staff was great and understanding to any issues you may have had. I cant pick one thing that was the best part of my job cause everything I did there I loved doing it, and to me there was nothing at the city of Belleville I didn't like doing. The city is by far the best job I have ever had and one day I would like to be back in Belleville under a full time contract.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Participants in the classes.  Honestly just the participants. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Never finding mgmt, they were never around. Always hiding. room was always dirty, always had to sweep b4 teaching a class. Nothing was updated for class lists. Reviews were a joke as they never even came to a class.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Poor. Staff were take. Advantage of. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Unorganized. Had to show up early and not be paid.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Belleville Parks is great to work for.  Working outdoors is amazing. Management is helpful and patient while you develop the necessary skills.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Seasonal employment is frustrating.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very positive for 90% of the employees.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get a task and go do it. So maybe grass cutting, maybe cleaning bathrooms, maybe working at Zwicks.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Excellent managment. Responsible implementation of workers rights.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not very stressful. Plenty of help and guidance.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very friendly and eager coworkers.

The City of Belleville's Aquatic Department is a dynamic group of individuals. The work culture is very warm and welcoming. All managing staff are very collaborative and everyone helps each other out. I have worked for the city fro over 4 years and it is a great place to work.

Great place to work, all ways new ideas.

Being a part of the moving forward is always a great feeling, improves your daily work ethics and builds teams.

Many great places to see and eat and now watch Hockey.

Management in Parks department is the worst ever run municipality I've ever worked for. No communication and unfairly run by 2 power hungry managers. Only special group individuals get special treatment. If your a hard worker and take pride in your work you get frowned upon.

We got to learn a lot about how municipal surveying is done, this included going to different job sites, working with construction companies and using GPS.  This was a great job for a student to have during the summer.

Management is terrible, Work environment is very bad. If you are not as lazy as the rest you will be centered out.

Often sent out by management "To look busy" "the public will think your are on route to a job"

Day to Day life guard activities, learned how to work as a team and the fundamental aspects of operating a community pool. Management was very easy to get along with, shifts are flexible.
