A shift at the marina would start by completing all of our opening duties (take fuel dip, inventory, check/respond to e-mails, any new registrations, walk around inspection of the premises, etc.) It was valuable work experience, as I learned to be independent and take initiative in the workplace, rather then wait for instruction from my supervisor. Management was awesome, very accommodating and clear in the training phase of the job. I would not say there was a "hardest part of the job"; the job required constant vigilance and respect for refuelling procedures and laws, but no task I would deem as "hard", (my involvement in university athletics has taught me a new definition of "hard work"). The most enjoyable part of the job was definitely working outside in the summer, and interacting with guests on a daily basis.

best summer job I have ever had. Each day was different, and the environment was professional, while being able to have fun. I gained great work experience for my future.

I worked in the Horticultural department and while management was fantastic, the work rotation was poor and you would often find yourself doing the same thing for two or three days. They're definitely one of the under-funded departments which means the work trucks and equipment are old and often don't work which can be frustrating

opportunities to learn new skills and promotion to management. there is work 12 months of the year with updated equipment.  tis is unionized work place which can be both good and bad.  promotion to mangement is often non-sensical

not worth talking about; only related or good friends of management move up people in charge not qualified for their positions cant help us at all and most importantly cant identify safety hazards related to jobs they lead !!!

Supportive and encouraging work environment. Allowed for personal growth in the work environment, the development of various skills important for professional development.

Working in the heat during the summer with lots of protective gear on was quite difficult at times, but the management make sure the employees are getting enough water and taking our needed breaks.

A typical workday would include office work and being outdoors with citizens of the community of all ages, assisting them in various physical activity programs.

Corruption is bad. Job is good, lots of change thru seasons, if you can handle the corruption and bad management. Currently still working but looking else where
