Typical work day: Every day is never the same but you can be sure to be busy depending on your position there. Extra duties tend to be piled onto certain employees due to the lack of staff which in the end will be in conflict to your actual job description.
Management: the service manager is one of the best I’ve worked for and truly understands what is needed to keep the place running smoothly 5 stars for him, sales manager is also a pleasure to work with a real down to earth person.
The GM- absolutely clueless! Has no real idea to what people do there , but enjoys flaunting his position in front of customers by giving instructions to employees on things he has no experience in, this is where the majority of problems stem from. It’s unfortunate that the rest of employees are left fixing the problems cause by him, especially the service department.
The best part of the job is the employees 
The worst part of the job is the general manager 

I felt as if I was working for a bunch of little boys while I was working at Clarington Nissan. Extremely poor Management. Very disorganized. General Manager, Sales Manager and Service Manager spoke very rudely behind employee and customers back. Sales manager was always so incredibly fake and very moody all the time. Service Manager would disappear for days to go to the strip club and didn't care about work responsibilities. General Manager had a huge ego to the point of rudeness towards employees as well as customers. There were always parts missing from the parts department that just disappeared. Theft was the reason for this. I was not at Nissan long but during the time I was employed, I experienced such childlike behavior. I would not recommend Clarington Nissan to anyone unless they fix the issues that are going on there.

Really enjoyed working with the staff. The best advisors and service manager I’ve worked for. Unfortunately other then tire season it was too hard to continue making enough hours to keep up with cost of living. Verbal agreements were given to “take care of you” but are shortly dismissed as they don’t honour anything that’s not written. If you can secure a guarantee then it would be the perfect environment for any tech. Other downfall is the lack of part inventory almost every part has to be ordered and they don’t stock brakes for all models even the most common ones. 

The owner is a very money hungry, unprofessional, rude person. As well as the management staff. They hire you and fire you a day before 3 months so the turnover rate is massive. Absolutely no job security, long hours and horrible pay. Management staff watches you like a hawk and will monitor every single thing you do. Oh and be prepared for management to talk behind your back if you don’t participate in gossip. STAY AWAY you will need new work in 3 months anyway.

The owners and management team are absolutely horrible. There is no job security, they constantly mess around with your pay check, very money hungry people. In their minds, everyone is replaceable. I strongly urge anyone who needs a job, you’re better off anywhere else. They will make you do things completely out of your job description, aweful pay (when actually received), the labour board has been there on multiple occasions now.

A typical day at work was slow so majority of the shift I was reading over new concept cars and normally there should always be work when working at a car dealership. The management was awful which was the main reason I left - very unprofessional and spoke very inappropriately to staff and about customers. would not recommend to anyone unless new management is hired and owner sells dealership to someone else.

Its a extremely stressful job working here. Ownership is always interfering and cutting costs here and there. Service staff is very friendly and dependent as well as the technicians, Sales on the other hand is very cliquey and are always putting a wrench in service operations giving last minute dead lines almost all the time. They're not all bad just management of sale you're always being watched here.

Traumatic experience with this company. They are greatly lacking when it comes to having appreciation for their hard-working employees and provide very little job security. 
Employees are highly expendable, as they are seen as merely an expense and are not valued appropriately. 
Be careful with anything promised or proposed to you that isn't put directly in writing. 

I worked at clarington nissan before and after ownership change. My experience at the former clarington nissan was amazing. After the change over I can't say the same. I have seen multiple good employees get screwed over by management and walked out the door due to no fault of there own or any good reason given.

Poor ratings have nothing to do with the entity that is Clarington Nissan.  Owners were the reason for the poor results. Owners constantly interfered with the various managers who's job it was to make the organization run smoothly.
