Cpx overall is a good  company ,their dispatchers are good and professional and 24 hrs,but they do not own their trucks just trailers ,for the job they hire owners operators and super owners operators to do the hauling, as a new driver you will be hired by one of these o/o how own their trucks : they hire new driver to keep the cost low and they will not train you to do anything coz if  they teach you the job they have to raise your salary which is not profitable for them and they will fire you after 6 months and get another new guy, the truck owner or the main driver will do the whole picks and deliveries when he is done he will put you on the straight hwy and goes to sleep coz he needs rest and he will manage how to keep you driving only nights time while he goes to sleep, as new driver you will do damages for truck or trailer or anything else, he will charges you for any the damages coz he does not wants his insurance premium to go high ,most damages are expensive and he will start deducting it from your pay cheque (which is not legal ),to avoid this he will ask you to create your on corporation and get GST N  under pretext you will save on taxes .....by then he will have right to deduct damage cost from your paycheck and you  will end up making less than minimum wage while you are always away from home .
find a professional company that owns trucks they will respect you and train you with care and  gives you good salary and benefits ,stay away from these guys.

My opinion is this company doesn't train or care about new staff. They expect you to be expert without any or very little training. Then the experienced weigh you down with stress and guilt because you are not an expert as you are still very new. Stress is excessive for no reason; they need to address the managers in charge as they cause a toxic environment in my opinion. 

Coastal Pacific Xpress and VersaCold North American Transportation Solutions have just merged, still get same Salary/Benefits.
Management have been very slow of informing employees of changes and nobody seems to know what is going on

great place to work, good people, and nobody really supervises you its just you being responsibility in an adult work environment respecting your work and workplace as well as co-workers. their is always free coffee and the truckers are usually pretty good

i started at the company on the dock and was moved into dispatch and work long hours (12hr shifts 3 on and 4 off one week and 4 on 3 off the one week rotating) good group of people.

Good place to work, with great people. Mostly cross dock work on a  forklift. Some sorting and building orders. planning loads to meet weight restrictions.

Oner operator's ro team driver's are get good payment. Goofd tyming despatch. Variable timing trip management. Right time payments. 24 hours office back up.

They pay 63 cents per mile. I do calgary Edmonton 5 times a week. Mostly hooks and drops. No new trucks. Mechanical issues could take weeks to fix.  Office staff is easy to work with.
