This was a good summer job, the shifts are normally short 3-4 hours and working with the kids is nice. Location and owner make a big difference, especially the manager/supervisor at your location. Coworkers and students made it an enjoyable environment but management was often rude and made it harder than necessary, with micromanagement. Not worth it unless you're in high school and want a chill part-time or summer job, with minimal growth opportunities.  The high turnover rate/ low retention at some locations is due to poor management and lack of support, especially with high-needs kids. 

I had a wonderful experience working alongside the team here. My coworkers were incredibly welcoming, and took the time to show me the ropes. They really do their best and make the environment friendly.
 
Unfortunately, the management side of things is quite messy. The facility storage is highly disorganized, with learning aids, cleaning supplies, and other materials randomly dumped around. It is hard to get around and clean. It is clear that the lack of structure and proper systems comes from the top down, rather than a lack of effort from the staff on the floor.

working with kids make the day brighter, however dealing with management, not so much.  Employer crosses boundaries at some times, giving female workers pet names such as; princess, lovely(name), sweetheart, lapdog.
They only want what will benefit the company such as number of students and money. they disregard their employees feelings, workload and health.
overall it feels as though the management is unorganized and doesn't know what they’re doing

There is minimal communication between employees and management.
You could ask for some short time off, but they will then proceed to act like you never worked there. Shifts are not distributed properly in the slightest. Training was very loose. They required us to "follow protocol," but there was no set protocol to begin with. Overall a fun place to work if you enjoy working with kids, but it's not worth the hassel of dealing with management.

It's a nice cozy environment where you teach kids Javascript. Coworkers were nice and patient with me while I was trying to learn everything. I'm not really the best with dealing with kids so I don't really feel rewarded much. I also think the CREATE curriculum needs some serious changes (as stated in some other reviews I've seen) to preserve the reputation of the company.

The employers are so friendly. sadly to Covid we have not had enough children sign up. I have to be prepared for the place to go out off business which makes the job unstable. If Covid had not come it would be the perfect place to work! The environment is so relaxed and easy going. The Employers are always looking for your input. If you want to work with kids. I would apply.

I loved my time at Code Ninjas. I taught kids JavaScript using a videogame-based curriculum and also got to educate them on simple robotics and 3D printing basics. The kids were so eager to learn and the hands-on approach made it a fun and rewarding experience. Highly recommend!

Instructors are allowed to pick their own times, coffee was provided. New facility was very helpful for making it a welcoming atmosphere. Most of the day spent teaching kids how to code, the hardest part was consulting on who should be working when.

IT was a good job to have while in school , easy work that gets harder and interesting as kids progress to higher levels. I would recomend this job to highschool kids interested in coding and want to see if its a possible career path before enrolling in a field related to it at uni.

One of the highlights of working at Code Ninjas is the satisfaction of watching children progress from beginners to proficient coders. It's incredibly rewarding to see them excited about learning and problem-solving while working on projects that showcase their creativity.
