Once upon a time, people were buying filament light bulbs, and those bulb would be burned out in a few months and require replacement.

That was decades ago. Now, LEDs are the market. The issue is that they last for YEARS. So instead of ongoing revenue, it's one massive sale, and then that customer is set for a long time. Worse, the cost of the LEDs are going ever downward, and the availability on the market expanding. So specialized lighting companies are feeling the squeeze. 

So that's Commercial Lighting Products. Wonderful people, very experienced, but the market is getting tight and something's going to give.

Reasonable place to work in terms of money and hours, but staff culture, management structure, location, retention, and basic organization are not great. Was hired to stare blankly into space for 6 hours and be maligned for the other 2. Very much a make what you will of it place, but be prepared for a long hazing process and general lack of cohesive structure. Don't work here if you expect a good white collar job; it's more of a trades place, with all of the bullying and toughness that comes with it.

Yes, agree with one of the previous reviewers. They take employees for granted.
Lack of defined policies and procedures.  
Every department considers itself as the most important for the company.
Rudeness amongst between colleagues is norm. 
Almost no opportunity for career advancement. 
No task priority based on business sense. Overall negative impression. Regret lost of time working for this company.

Overall a great group of people fun to be around and never a dull moment.  Like anywhere in life, everything is earned, and you always get what you deserve when you prove yourself.

Changes come slowly but surely, the door is always open for you to voice your opinion and suggestions.

The industry is challenging, and always keeps you on your toes.  I would definitely recommend those who are go-getters to work here.

Every day is different, lots of different types of clients.

don't work here they do not value there employees you are expendable you have to fight to get a rase no room for advancement .the owners only care about money you are not a person your only an expense to them they forget that the employees make the company work if you need a job  for a few months but keep looking thjs is a dead end job .

The company as a whole has some real problems in that they take their employees for granted in that we pay out of our own pocket for too much stuff and do not get embraced for it.

Commercial Lighting Products is by far  the worst company in Canada run by the worst people in Canada. No one in their right mind should ever concider working for CLP. If you want to get jerked around and made to feel like garbage then by all means work here with Atif the worst person on the company.

A mid sized electrical company, it was a good place to learn about electrical products and inside and outside sales.  The people are good to work with but the job can be demanding in terms of stock keeping customers satisfied.

Upbeat work place, with knowledgeable staff. 
All employees willing to help each other out.
