Overall a good place to work if you want something steady , the work environment is very care free with minimal stress as long as you get your work done . If you have some skills with hand tools and have a good eye with detail oriented work this would be a good place for you . However I will say that there is very minimal room for advancement , and this company will not give you any wage increases unless they absolutely have to.  I will say that the benefits are actually pretty decent for the size of the company. I actually liked working here but had to leave because I simply was not making enough money to live. The cost of living in Burlington is super high and the wage being paid was barely enough to survive. 

You get to learn different facets of composite manufacturing operations here, which is a nice thing.
Has a generally nice working culture where people care for one another (there are exceptions, but good for the most part).
There are slow times but there also are hectic times, just like anywhere else you'd go.
Relation between management and core work force is sub-par, there seems to be a disjoint there.
Compensation is poor compare to other competitors.
Favoritism is also apparent.
Hard to advance or grow due to many factors, but the biggest reason is that there isn't anywhere to go up, and there definitely isn't much money available.
Good work life balance though.
In summary, lots to learn and lots to do but not good in terms of compensation and advancement.

Comtek is a great place to work for aircraft structures apprentices as you will get a great education in the world of composite aircraft repairs. However, no one who works for Comtek is a licensed AME. They do not encourage or help you in getting licensed either as they do not want to pay you a licensed AME wage. Essentially you can work there for 5+ years and still be in an entry level position earning not much more than entry level pay. 

As a composite and sheet metal technician, I applied my experience and education to complete repairs on aircraft parts according to the corresponding drawings and repair manuals. Most repairs I did are for parts constructed from composite materials, but I also have experience in repair of metal structures as well. 

It was at this job that I obtained skills such as work ethic, organization, collaboration and of course technical skills such as tool use and various safety training.

In the beginning its pretty good but slowly it starts to show it true colurs. pay is less than most places like them, the training is terrible your lucky if you get real training on something and not left to figure it out yourself. There is major favoritism going on there. No room for advancement there are guys who have been there for 15 plus years and not gotten anywhere.

Worked at Comtek for 5 years, great people, flexible start times, clean and safe environment. If you are a hard worker and reliable there was lots of opportunity to learn more, I worked in floors and repairs. Not making huge money but got 3 pay raises over 5 years. only left to shorten my commute.

The work is rewarding and interesting with opportunities to take on new challenges while being well supported by leadership. Communication from the leadership team is good including a clear vision of the company strategy. The work/life balance is great and the people are friendly and helpful.

Great place to work, friendly people, flexible hours, lots of overtime if that is something you are interested in. However the low pay causes the "I dont get paid enough for this" mentality in less motivated people and minimal work gets done. If this can be your starter job - will be a great fit.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being expected to perform without being given proper training.

When I started I was overwhelmed.  pay was good. Benefits were awesome. good training, Got several certificate there company founded. Learned there a lot, OveralGood experience.
