A typical day here is fast-paced and unpredictable. You’re juggling projects, supporting leadership, and often doing the groundwork that keeps things moving behind the scenes. It’s demanding, but it also means you’re constantly learning and sharpening your skills. One of the biggest takeaways for me has been how much you can absorb in a short period. Whether it’s connecting with government members, collaborating with talented colleagues, or navigating organizational challenges, the experience is like a crash course in professional growth.
Management is a mixed bag. On one hand, they keep operations running; on the other, recognition often stops at their level. Big issues rarely make it past them, and credit for hard work tends to get absorbed by leadership. Salary growth is decent, but if you’re looking to climb the ladder, the upper tiers are pretty locked in; executives are comfortable where they are, and mobility is limited.
Culturally, the workplace has a young, energetic feel. Coworkers are approachable and supportive, and there’s a sense of camaraderie that makes tough days easier. Benefits and RRSPs are solid, flex time is a big plus, and having the right equipment provided sets you up for success. The hardest part? Feeling like your contributions don’t always get the spotlight they deserve. The most enjoyable? The exposure, the relationships you build, and the amount of growth you can pack into a short span of time. It’s the kind of place where you leave with a toolkit of skills you didn’t expect to gain so quickly.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They have great interpersonal skills. Diversity. Patience with staff growth and adaptability. Excellent communication skills and great organizational structure. Their ability to evolve with business trends and dynamics should be studied. It's quiet outstanding. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Learning the new systems and new things to adapt to the job. Though this is not a complaint. The system just requires I put in 30 characters to there it is. I seriously have no complaints. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly, warm, supports personal growth, safe, great foundation for healthcare administration based students. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Clock in. Work and learn at the job. Under policies and speak to students concerns. Complete trackers and spreadsheets. Keep errors as minimal as possible. Be supportive to team mates and the organization as a whole.

I would recommend working with Conestoga Students Inc. I had a chance to work for a short tenure, but I would join any other position if offered in a heartbeat. The staff was interactive and fun to work with, plus the workplace is fun with recreation setups like coffee shops, table tennis, and soundproof cabins if you want to sit and work in a quiet environment.

Managing a project is worth verifying own skills. Working as a team is a challenge until I open up to all members with my opinions and embrace criticism. I encourage my peers to positively present  alternatives against my opinions because I realized that is the way we become more creative.

It provides me a lot of opportunities to work with students and communicate with different people. 
A lot of nice people to work with. 
I learned a lot about how to organize an event and how to promote the event.

The job itself is not that hard, it’s a great part time work that really allows flexibility. I really admire their goals of trying to help the students and they’re very open to any ideas you have. They would even explain to you as to why the idea might or might not work. Although my time there was short, it was an amazing to know that I helped a lot.

A workplace filled with great opportunities, however sometimes support from management is lacklustre. Often times they work with you but they work against you and can make you feel extremely vulnerable in your position. No real opportunities for advancement.

Best place I have ever worked.  Management was excellent and supportive of me personally and in my role.  Corporate culture is upbeat and positive and everyone really cares.  Great benefits, and team building experiences like retreats and conferences. Would definitely recommend working here.

A productive place to learn the work culture. The work was very clear and satisfactory to complete. Very interactive meetings and great ideas to accomplish the target decided every bi-weekly meeting. The LinkedIn Learning courses were the extra benefits.

As a server, I set-up restaurant, cleaned, seated and served customers, brought drinks and food when ready.  Handled cash and debit/credit machines,  customer complaints, coordinated with kitchen.  Cleared tables and ran dishwasher machine.  Was a fun job between semesters (3 months).
