 -Benefits -( decent coverage) 
 -Safety/ job site safety , PPE, Vehicle safety/maintenance, ladders etc are all high priorities with management and fellow employee's
Cons
100% piece work with zero exceptions for additional factors outside of the employees control - ie. equipment malfunctions, extended periods on hold with tech support, waiting for customers/ nobody home calls to name a few. Task rate pay is based off an ““estimated” average time”. It’s typical to be on the losing end of this equation as most jobs take longer.
 If you arrive at a job and it job cannot be completed for some logistical reason(I.e -burial required), you are still expected to submit the required referrals/paperwork on top time you’ve already invested into the call - again all for no pay. 

The pay is basically or just above minimum wage, and there is no tiered pay structure. Tenured and experienced employees doing the same job are paid the same as new hires. 

Raises or pay increases are a myth. (In my 5 years here; there were ZERO piecework increases). However; there MANY instances where piecework items were removed(despite the task still being a part of the installation), or the pay rate for a specific task was lowered. 

Working hours are unpredictable. Regardless of the degree of difficulty or challenges presented at each job - the expectation is the jobs must be completed that day before going home- so there is no set “hometime”.
 This is a customer service job interacting with the public and all that goes along with it. While most customers are good, others want to take up your time with tasks that don’t fall under the scope of you’re job ,and  others are ripe with entitlement. 


faulty equipment all around we were bought the cheapest tools and when they broke it was somehow our fault. a general lack of face time with management and when we needed something they needed constant reminders daily (but granted i dont know what they do on a day to day basis). However the lead hands i worked with were great guys 10/10 would work with them again. i came in with 0 experience and they gladly taught me everything and were really patient. a typical day at work was get to the shop in the morning around 7:30, drive to the city we were in for the day complete 5 to 10 jobs roughly sometimes 12. then call it a day workplace culture was sometimes political as they had some very disgruntled employees. Management seemed to not really care as long as jobs were getting done. the job overall wasn't really hard at all the hardest part was doing sidewalk punches (using a sledgehammer to punch a pointy metal rod under a sidewalk). the most enjoyable part of the job was definitely the guys i worked with  and the travel time. from this job i learned a lot about how different underground buried services like gas, hydro and of course cable worked which is invaluable experience to have.

They have work for you 99/100 days, but it's piece work and you don't really get much for the effort. Customer service in peoples homes so expect a lot of attitude. A typical day is climbing telephone poles regardless of the weather (lightening and high winds excepted). Pay for your own tools and equipment. Company will pay half for most clothing, but they pick the uniform. Hardest part is mental abuse from customers. Best part is working outdoors.

Great company overall, they provide you with what you need to get the job done, management is very professional, understanding. I have been in the telecommunications industry almost 10 years, and have yet to find a company like connectall communications. Would recommend this company to anyone.

Started here in Hamilton around Sept of last year. Currently laid off due to Corona and massive shortage of work. 
The bosses are great individuals always willing to help when you need it.
Fellow installers are also great individuals who will do the same.
Learned lots from everyone here in Hamilton/stoney creek location. And I'm really bored and hope to be called back!

My only issues were there was no direct deposit.  Direct deposit is something that should be a given. This day in age everyone has direct deposit. Fair wage was given to me but for others with experience and responsibilities I felt there was short comings. I also realize there is a business to be runned. Maybe I don't know the whole picture 

Amazing company, great job benefits, company truck, flexible managers, piece workers unlimited earning potential, stressful at times but work is generally easy if you have some experience, paid training provided.

Really good company that'll bend over backwards to be flexible with your schedule and give you the support you need to succeed. Once you learn you can make decent pay but there aren't really any opportunities to make good money

If you are motivated and like working independently installs is for you.Can be a little stressful when busy.
If you work well with others and like hands on type of constuction work then enviroment here is good! Owners, managers and supervisors easy to talk to and open door policy.

Good company still allowed me to work part time after going back to school, good people that work there, good money if you work hard enough, Hours vary day to day, But good company to work for
