I am writing this review to let people know that this company will not value you and upper management and management has made that known. They only see everyone below as replaceable and will not hesitate for a moment to let you go, so job security was constantly an issue. Depending on which department you worked at, your manager will either prevent you from being successful and gate keep you from changing departments to learn more and further your career, or you have supportive ones who will try their best to pass down knowledge to you.  This why this company is known as a training ground where most people will come here to learn and leave in 1–3 years and work for better companies who value their employees. The compensation for their roles are a joke, and it shows that they are too afraid to even show wages for each job posting and the benefits just average if not worst than other companies.  The work place culture was what kept me working there or else I would have left ages ago. The hardest part of the job is sadly management not taking any accountability for issues and unfortunately stuck in their old ways. If you choose to work there, you will be learn a lot and wil soon be overworked. They refuse to hire new people to replace hold co-workers that left the company so it makes it essential running a skeleton crew in office setting.  Management can be toxic and non-understanding at times. I am writing this to warn people to stay away from this company to save themselves the stress and toxic management.

Had to coordinate with BC Liquor Board and Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission to receive the Purchase Orders and then liaise directly with the farms and logistics providers in getting the orders ready and shipping it in time to meet the stipulated arrival times given by the liquor boards. Had to make sure all the shipment and customs paperwork was processed timely and accurately.

Got to enhance my knowledge about the wine and beverage industry and learn about the imports into British Columbia and Alberta. Also got an opportunity to directly deal with international wine exporters from all over the world. 

The management was very professional and well trained to oversee all the different aspects of shipping, bonded storage and distribution. A good workplace culture with open door policy and fun loving colleagues and managers.

The hardest part of the job was to ensure all the orders make it in time during the annual Vancouver Wine Festival which is held during February/March and it is a challenge to coordinate the shipments during severe weather conditions when even the shipping carriers have space constraints and limitations to meet the time deadlines.

The most enjoyable and gratifying part of the job was that every shipment had a different challenge and I got an opportunity to test all my past work and customer service skills to meet the challenges and successfully complete the tasks.



After four years at ContainerWorld, I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. I had the chance to work with some dedicated individuals and to take on challenges that strengthened my skills in IT operations and cybersecurity.

Like many organizations, ContainerWorld has areas for improvement. The onboarding process could benefit from more structure, and clearer work metrics would help align expectations and performance. Compensation levels are below market standards, and there's noticeable staff turnover—challenges that often reflect broader organizational uncertainties.

That said, every experience is a chance to learn. I'm thankful for the lessons I’ve learned and the colleagues I’ve met along the way.

Working at this company is an absolute nightmare. A typical day is filled with constant stress, lack of direction, and no support. You’re thrown into the deep end without proper training, expected to perform at high levels while being constantly criticized. The competition is unhealthy, with everyone out for themselves, and the blame game is always in full swing. Mistakes, no matter how small, result in harsh write-ups, and no one ever acknowledges the effort you put in. 

I’ve learned that this company thrives on making you feel inadequate, and I’ve gained a lot of experience in how to cope with unprofessional environments. The management is a joke—unapproachable, unhelpful, and only interested in micromanaging while offering zero support or guidance. The workplace culture is toxic, with negativity and cutthroat behavior at every corner. 

The hardest part of the job is navigating the impossible expectations and constant fear of being reprimanded for things beyond your control. It feels like no matter how much effort you put in, it’s never enough. As for the most enjoyable part? Honestly, there isn’t one. Every day feels like a battle, and any fleeting moments of peace are quickly overshadowed by the overwhelming stress and poor management. Avoid this place at all costs.

This company has gone downhill fast. The pay is very poor compared to other companies in the industry. The benefits have very low maximum amounts per year. While they advertise that you will have to routinely lift over 45lb, in reality you will be lugging around 170lb kegs all day ruining your back. New management has turned the kelowna warehouse into a very negative toxic work environment. Lots of infighting between departments. Their repair budget is extremely low and you will be lucky to get even winter tires put on your rig and pallet truck meaning you spend more time trying to get unstuck in the snow than delivering. This is a hit and run kind of company…that is if you can still run once you’re done here.

It's a great place for students and newcomers to learn as much as they can, and then go work somewhere else for a lot better pay.  Most staff is overworked and underpaid. They have either been there for many years or are new employees just learning the job. Turnaround is high and morale is low. New staff with no experience or knowledge are hired at a higher salary than the current staff. New people are thrown into the job with little to no training, because everyone is so busy and overloaded, they don't have enough time to do proper training. But, it is really good to have the experience on your resume that you can take with you.

This was once a great company to work for. Great management, strong team and lots of fun events and perks. Sadly those days are long gone. It has been very disappointing and heartbreaking for some long term employees who once loved their jobs. The only staff paid well are warehouse workers. Office staff and supervisors are VERY underpaid and overworked. Changes in management have unfortunately left this company unrecognizable and impossible to work for. No support, no assistance, no bonuses, very minimal raises on already low wages, no job security and no respect make very unhappy workers and a very negative environment.

Hard work, long days. job can be fun in the summer delivering to bars and clubs, but the work was hard and often had high expectations for delivery with not option to bring calls back. the routing was poor but they had some nice fleet trucks and some rentals. Although your direct delivery supervisor is the epitome of who you know, not what you know, the company takes care of its employees with annual Christmas parties, and paid driver meetings, at least they try.

Work / Life balance was good
Salary and benefits was above average.
Job security was okay but have seen people being let go.
union is such a nightmare that you tend to rethink is the unionized environment is only for the betterment of the employees under the union, they always have a way out of any situation even if it is a solid mistake committed by the employee.

CW is a good company if you are at the initial stage of your career. You get to learn about inventory planning, logistics,freight forwarding, custom clearance depending upon the department you are in. 
There is work life balance as well if you manage your day strategically.
