this a big company with union organization. They are very concern on  safety management. people are nice and not so pushing. but it is kind of too relax.

I works as an shift electrician, working with an shift mechanic. most of duty is response emergency call for repair production machine fault. our machine are big heavy duty hydraulic press, mill, conveyor ,overhead cranes etc. we also repair the equipment in the shop, such as elevator, forkliftor, HVAC etc.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the happiness and satisfication feeling when you solve an difficult problem. and the hardest part of the job is short of information, especially other shift tradepeople make a mess on machine. You need spend lots of time figuring out the problem.

This review is coming from someone that was intern there for multiple semesters and family/friends work here.

Salary: for an intern it is pretty good.

Job Notes: they seem to hire co-op students from many universities. Windsor is more for design work. Ottawa area for FEA even though they never used ansys. Waterloo occasionally. Positions are based on what university they think does the best job for it, which they have wrong. They hire students from Alberta which in my experience has not been good.

Work: apply a bit from school, but you learn stuff your school will not teach.

City: Not a fan of

Union: there are unions there. The model shop guys are the best, vl is okay, advanced and eng lab have some good people

Just an all around bad place to work, They will strip your pay check to the bone by any way they can, They will tell you to take days off and putting all the work on the press that's got a man working for cash, You work on a "if they got work ,you got work"never know if your working each day or not. shifts are only three days a week 12 hrs each but when they say take a day off, you now got only a 24 hour pay check at the most.
if there is a holiday Monday and the say take Tuesday off,well now you got a 18 hour pay check at the most. Over the long run,you lose so much money that you need a part time job to support your full time job at continental press

Was told by upper management in sales meeting. “I don’t want to hear about product issues, figure it out.” 
Anyone with a backbone against upper management is quickly put in their place.   They often will blame others for things that are managements fault, pointing this out in front of hundreds of piers, Extremely unprofessional and HR is too afraid of them to even address it.  
CEO is very good but others under him are blowhards.

I worked at continental for 15 years, but I made friends and colleagues that will last me a life time . Having said that, as of 2019 things do not look too good in terms of job security and advancement opportunities. Management is reasonable and fair. I never had any problems with my coworkers, and having the support from HQ in Germany was key in many areas. I will miss my friends at Continental dearly

Great company to work for. Good leadership and forward thinking in future technologies. Huge company with lots of processes. Employee need to be quick learner to be effective.

I assisted the office manager and she was very easy to work with. All that I did was organize the office files.

I only work there 3 months

I following the office manager when she had to go to job sites.

There was really no hard part of this job.

Every day felt like an opportunity was there to learn something new and interesting. The management made that place extremely comfortable to work. Everyone was supportive and were always willing to help each other whenever required.

Review warranty data for fuel pump modules, coordinate root cause analysis, clean points/8d corrective actions.

Management made up the rules as they went and very unhealthy work places can’t have an opinion of your own, lack of support after a work place injury…..management was very verbaly abusing
