During my time at CPL, one of the most alarming and demoralizing aspects was the quality management team. What should have been a department focused on continuous improvement and collaboration instead operated with a dictatorial approach that stifled innovation and silenced internal voices.

The leadership style within quality management was not just top-down—it was authoritarian. Decisions were made unilaterally, with little to no input from subject matter experts or operational teams. Constructive feedback was not just ignored; it was often met with hostility. This culture created a poisonous work environment where fear replaced trust and compliance was valued over competence.

What’s most troubling is the broader impact this toxic leadership had on the company. Critical issues were swept under the rug or mishandled because admitting mistakes was seen as a threat to the authority of the quality department. As a result, product integrity suffered, morale plummeted, and turnover skyrocketed. Talented individuals either burned out or left altogether, taking valuable knowledge and insight with them.

This kind of quality management doesn’t just affect internal culture—it poses a serious risk to long-term business sustainability. Unless significant changes are made to the department’s leadership and values, the trajectory of the company will likely continue downward.

Leadership is weak...be prepared to lose morale.  My VP was checked out and didn’t fight for his department ... other departments would be rude/hostile to us and he wouldn’t care..... he also doesn't support a flexible working environment and doesn't believe in 'working from home' even when working from home can be more productive.  Manager wasn’t professional/ mature and would gossip about her colleagues incessantly. She also had to constantly “tout” her horn to show us how “good” she is (eye roll)...expectations for  the quality of work produced  is low and high quality is not valued and considered a waste of time.  The company has tons of people just people who don't know how to manage their department ...they have tons of people who work in the labs but STILL need to outsource their work and waste thousand of dollars... the best thing are the coffee machines... they spend thousands of dollars a month on coffee, it’s actually ridiculous!
  
In summary the company isn't run properly, don't waste your time here unless you are super super desperate.  Please let my experience not let be your mistake .... I definitely REGRET coming to this company.

Very strange place where they pay less for who are working more.
Full of politics and scrutiny.
No job security, you can get fired just because someone with a power didn't get along with you.
Big budget for severenve packages and to compansate for operations mistakes.
No bounces, just 1000 extra every year to everyone.
Don't expect recognition, play dump, if you are smart enough to see the stupidity of the managers, you will get fired or scrutinized.
Managers will blame you for the mistakes they told you to do, so don't do something wrong even if they told you to do it.

My typical workday is highly dynamic, often shifting rapidly based on emerging priorities or unexpected issues. While this can bring variety, there is frequently a lack of clear direction or long-term planning, which can make it challenging to stay focused or ensure alignment with strategic goals
No bonuses, no recognition, and no salary increases


This company used to have a good collaborative company culture (you hear this from long-term employees). Past few years it has turned very toxic. Management is constantly finger pointing, blaming each other, and other departments. Workers, supervisors and new managers given very little support and development/training opportunities from upper management. Work-life balance is non-existent. You could be called anytime for any reason, and expected to answer.

Great place to work at with very professional and decent colleagues.

Attaining the key productivity index is a bit of a challenge.

Very clean and multi-cultural.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Making sure that everyone is safe at work , good product quality is attained to and everyone enjoy working as a team.

Since the onboarding of new management, everything has taken a turn for the worse. The leadership is completely out of touch, only focused on exploiting employees for their own profit. It's become a toxic environment where workers are overworked and underappreciated. The company has gone downhill fast, and it's clear that the new management only cares about lining their pockets, not the well-being of their staff. Stay away if you value a healthy work environment.

A Typical day at work would be swiping in at 3:15 and waiting for the general manager to assign Temps and permanent workers their positions. Depending on the product and if it was completed or just started we would clean and go through S.O.Ps. During the summer My co-workers were students and some other temps, if not it was just the contracted workers.

Favoritism is a key element in deciding many thing in this company from promotions , layoff to hiring. Middle management is worst in this place. Hiring is happening based on the managers/Directors ethnicity not based on individuals experience or qualifications.

High turnover in the company

Low talent in company ... they let go of the smartest and brightest but keep the people that bring everyone else down 

Quality department doesn’t really focus on quality.... or things that really matter
