Finally a job where waking up in the morning is not such an ordeal, it is something to look forward to.
I interviewed for a warehouse position and was offered an office position, which was a sign of great things to come.
Great conditions, great environment, great coworkers and culture. A real sense of belonging (sense of team) with understanding, compassionate management. 
Great, consistent working hours, with weekends off.
We get so much company apparel from Convoy and our suppliers.
Decent pay and great benefits. I feel well compensated for my current role.
I am new to the roofing industry but I am always given the chance to learn more, as long as I am willing to increase my knowledge.
I never feel shame about asking for help when I am unsure about a task. 
I have long term plans of sticking around, with opportunities for advancement.

A typical day on the job, you clock In and get going on orders right away up until the shift is over. 

Management is terrible, you will get reprimanded for mistakes or mishaps you made due to the company not providing adequate training. They will harp on you for the smallest things, dosent matter if it’s your second week on the job.

Management is changing and the new branch manager has no mercy or sense of understanding, he will say you’re doing great and then come back a month later to fire you. They will also try to short you in terms of your salary when you go in for the interview as I was getting paid less than any other shipper receiver even though I came in with adequate experience. To many egos at this location.
The only enjoyable part about this job is dealing with pleasant customers and operating the forklift.

Workplace culture is the usual, management and office people look down on the warehouse associates.

Typical day would be to look at what deliveries would be set out for that day and to see if all orders were fullfilled.
A huge part of our business was to have necessary inventories for the exterior building product customer.
Looking after and ordering proper quantity products to ensure availability for resale crucial.
Co-workers as a team had to work together with the communication to communicate products getting low in quantities as well as looking after the customer, picking and shipping proper products to site and having optimal customer service skills.
This was probably the hardest part, keeping up with inventories, making sure the proper flow of paperwork is smooth, eg billing, confirming in the systems as being shipped and making no shipping errors.
Most enjoyable is at the end of the day all personel pulling together as a team and getting the job done flawlessly.

I am a big fan of Star Wars and I’d like to start this review off with this place is the perfect definition of the force. Everyone has good or bad days if their personal life isn’t the greatest and when I learnt something, some people couldn’t make out what i learnt and some just made fun, but I am young and most of the crew was a lot older then I. There should be more young people who can lift the weight we had to lift everyday because with older people comes more problems with their personal life, Regardless. It’s destiny as they call it. I had fun there but it’s work after all. Same stuff, different day.

Start your days heading right out with the truck you loaded the day before. Make 2-3 deliveries come back and load up with 2-3 more deliveries. Make those deliveries and come back to load up for the next day. Punch out, repeat.

I learned there are a nearly infinite amount of people who will do this job for a very short amount of time and Convoy would like to try them all.

The management didn't seem very interested or active in their jobs, almost as though it were not their primary source of income.

The workplace culture was... "old school macho". Very '70s New York detective vibes.

Hardest part of the job is getting to know new swampers every couple days.

Most enjoyable part of the job is the amount of time off (roughly 6 months a year + weekends in summer)

In my 3 years with convoy supply as a shipper the culture is that shippers are "just shippers" 
After I was with the company a year and a half as a single dad with two kids a young man was hired to work as a shipper as well who could barely do the job and he made the same as I did until I quit almost 2 years later. They harped on me for my attendance even though a fellow employee who got promotions missed a lot more work than I did. Some very nice people to work with and that is the best thing about Convoy supply. There is a Christmas bonus and a nice Christmas party so that is a plus. 

This place is so overrun with butt smoochers and titles that they cant lift their head up long enough to see that the work and effort is put in by the people on the floor and in the warehouse.

   Constantly plagued by changes and turnover they may never understand what it takes to keep good employees, those that are either leave or are let go unless you are a Regional Team Member" which is another title for butt kisser.

   Time to start paying the warehouse and field people and maybe hire some management that actually know what they are doing...this place is a revolving door with the good out and the bad in while the useless seem to hide.

Stressful, and when it gets busy can’t even take breaks sometimes just straight work for 4-5 hours until afternoon arrives for u to take one. 
I learned roofing materials and what its used for.
Management is terrible, the manager is a joke just trying to save money and cut budget can’t even provide gloves we had to report to the safety committee just to get one.
No culture high turnover rate always a new face almost every week.
Always short staffed.
Get to go home early and spend time with family.

From the CEO all the way down to Branch management. It’s corrupt as corrupt gets. Firing mass employees without cause before holiday bonuses to increase management bonus. Absolute zero organization when it comes to incoming and outgoing stock. The whole company just seems like a massive free for all of no one actually knows what they are doing, and it’s always someone else’s job to fix that. It was honestly shockingly pathetic to see a multi-billion dollar company be run into the ground like this. 

I spent over a year with this company with no wage increase because of their regular,  corporate mandated "raise freezes". I wasn't allowed to miss a day of inventory to attend my sister's wedding. Inside sales team treat you like second class citizens, and aren't afraid to show it. Upper management is not very good at what they do. And who pays the price for bad management? You will.
