Cora Restaurant

It's a great place to work at, because you finish at 3-4 pm latest, and that gives you time to lead somewhat of a normal life.

Unlike other serving jobs, you really have to push yourself above and beyond at Cora. You have to prepare toast, and supply the toast refills to the customers. You have to prepare coffee and specialty coffees as well as refill the customers coffees. Also, during the week days, there are no bussers or hosts, so you have to bus all of the tables, and I've had a full restaurant with 150 seats, when only myself and one other server were on, with 2 kitchen staff. Imagine that for a moment.

You basically have to be the equivalent to the navy seals of serving to work there. Which is really what made it rewarding. Knowing that I was doing a job, where rich and successful people from all styles of life would walk in and stare in awe at our capabilities. That made it extremely rewarding mentally.

However there is a disconnect with head office and the actual restaurant since head office pops in regularly, and yet the store owner is the only person that really has control over the staff, so it causes some dismay at times.

I would still recommend this as a place to work for other individuals.

Working at Cora was a phenomenal experience. The staff is friendly and inviting and the management always has the best interest of both the customers and staff in mind. The customers are generally friendly and you get to build strong relationships with the regulars. The work was easy and continuous and it teaches you good time management as well as interpersonal relationship skills

while working here I found there was bad leadership and bad management. i was constantly off my post tying up loose ends around the back of the store while trying to juggle my actual job. a dishwasher should not be dealing with prep and stock - keep in mind this was a few years ago, and they have changed management and staff members.

I worked there for a summer job (and a bit over) and it was a perfect job for a student even during the school year as I only worked weekends at that point. It takes maybe 2 full weeks to get the hang of things but there is still always something to learn. 

Really a fun place to work with wonderful people. They all work together as a family. You hardly realize spending hours working there. They provide free meal and work stations are hygienic and beautiful.

The owners of the restaurant are caring, friendly, amazing people. They go out of their way to accommodate you and any home issues you may need to work around. It is an excellent place to work and the customers are wonderful.

Fast paced friendly might need upgrades e.i. new chairs and tables. A great place to work    I looked at it as my girlfriend  social time ! Really enjoyed working as  a team - lots of laughs! 

I got a good experience and learned new things being a line cook at cora. The workplace is hardworking, experienced and can work together well as a team and under a lot of pressure

I learned how to deal with a fast paced environment and got all the training done in 8 hours. The co workers are very friendly and help if needed. the hardest part of the job is the morning rush
