Safety meeting to start off with. We give the workers a chance to voice their opinions. I help them with their FLHA's if they need help. Complete inspections related to site and office requirements. Always have a crew member assist with the inspections. Direct engagement through the inspections so all relevant information is received. The hardest part of my job would be What will my next Safety Meeting be about. Most enjoyable part would be seeing all workers involved in the Safety Culture so they go home the way they came, in one piece.

Opportunities for advancement (foreman to GF etc) are non-existant unless you are close friends with the Superintendant. There is minimal oversight into how the site office is run on more than a superficial level. Outbursts and intimidation keep the men in line, leaving the guys in the field constantly walking a fine line to keep their jobs. Overall the pay is good although the travel has been cut back lately and they are asking us to take another cut to our stat pay now. But the guys you work with are what really make this job worth staying around.

could have been a longer term contract but too many suspensions for workers caused us to lose the contract. ether than that it was solid work and good pay. safe site. wish i was still there.

Terrible management at the Redwater site Pulling bringing you to different jobs leaving jobs in complete save yourself the hassle and find somewhere else safe to work

enjoyed working with crew at vanscoy. compay willing to transfer you to another site and keep you working if possible. long periods of time away from home make it difficult to keep a home life.

Read and check emails, send any invoice out to any sites if they came via email, do paper work for company, scan important documents then send them to accounts payable for payment, answer phones, check mail from postbox

Cornerstone Industrial at Foster Creek had a lot of construction on f-phase and with maintenance scaffolding for Cenovus and other trades during shutdowns and day to day maintenance or construction of plant

Very good company to work for. Always something new to learn.
CEO was always helpul. Went to Chicago for trades fair.  Brought over 40 guys from Ireland over.

Site management could have been more settled. Some management caused some unwelcome stress to the workers n site and in the office.

Cornerstone was a decent employer to work for although they made me book my own flights and id book them in advance and have to end up changing the flight due to their lack of organization.
