What is the best part of working at the company?
Free uniform, and some room for advancement

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Districts don't talk to each other and there is no easy way to transfer. I live between Ottawa and Cornwall, and I had difficulty switching from the Ottawa branch to Kingston, which controls Cornwall in spite of being 4 hours away. Ottawa has better uniforms, better benefits, and more availability of shifts.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I rarely see other guards. My shifts are often changed with less than a week's notice, and shifts can be anytime and are often 12 hours long.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depends on where I'm posted. Often it's actually security work (patrols, making reports, coordinating with police and other authorities) while others are just entering info into a computer.

This organization was founded to provide veterans with work after leaving their mitary service. As such vets occupy many of the better assignments. This can lead to problems, as this office strives to maintain 100% vet status employees in Fed gov't sites. Sounds great but some (not all) vets are less than pleasant to deal with. Some lack the necessary technology skills, some its people skills, and some its hygiene skills. 
For me I enjoy my position I have great co-workers, client is awesome to work for and generally I enjoy coming into work.

Unlike most competitors, the Corp actually tries to give you full time permanent work, unless you request otherwise.  The hiring process is more thorough than at other companies, and the orientation can be intensive but that is to give you confidence and competence at your job.
HR and the contract managers work together to find the best fit for you and the Corp.
The Corp is proud of their history and they should be as they have given meaningful work to ex military and law enforcement personnel.
Sadly, wages are not that great but that is because of the security industry in general and not because of the quality of employee that they produce.

Workplace harassment, not nothing being done about it 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Other guards are mean, they try to blame you for stuff that isn't your fault 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not a nice environment,  supervisor is very mean

The health care and bonuses are great. They are great to work for.

Filling out paperwork. Maybe walking depending on the posting

Great they treat everyone the same no matter what race you are

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stress free easy going enjoyable

Some places you are only doing 12 hour shifts and it can be an over night.
Other places can be sitting in your own car doing security on a construction site.
Other places can be at the hospital watching over a patient that may leave the hospital with family or Doctors knowing. 
Other places you can do security at a Court House or Past Port Office

Greatest security Company that I worked for and very professional workplace. good salary rates,a life changing work environment! The employees and management team are very genuine and supportive! The culture is very positive and it is a fun environment. New ideas are encouraged and implemented.

hardest part of the job being at work at 0630 am
and of course staying awake all night. if I was younger very good employer and shifts. how much more do you wish cannot tell anything about locations for security reasons. 

Worked for them for 10 years. In the last five years management spiralled to NO commitment to employees, NO loyalty to employees, cut pay to minimum wages, cut hours to casual/part time with no notice! NO communication from the management and support staff!

Jobs offered with different sections are not always ideal. some jobs are very boring and obtaining a different position can take time. well organized headquarters however every section is different.
