Country Boy Family Restaurant

At Country Boy I learned how to be a strong leader in a fast paced environment. I was taught how to deal with all different types of situations and how to handle both positive and negative feed back from customers. A typical shift would be providing excellent customer services , cleaning tables, setting up tables, helping all the other waitresses with carrying out orders. Hardest part of the job was carrying heavy dish bins to the kitchen, also making sure all the table were kept very tidy through busy hours of the restaurant. The most enjoyable part was working with people. The management always treated us with kindness and respect, which made the working environment positive. The staff also worked well together and always made an effort to help each other out in times of need.

its very boring, ]It's very boring I don't want to be washing dishes all the time which I'm usually in the back washing dishes which I don't really like doing all the time I would like to be out in the front doing Social customer service for people who come in. my boss just hired a new busser  and I've been wanting to be a busser for the whole time I've been working at country boy this was made me seriously mad and I would really want to be  out in front.

Co-workers were all friendly. The hours were flexible knowing that I had school. The hardest part of the job was making sure that everything was cleaned, re stocked and arranged accordingly in its place at the end of the evening for the next morning. The most enjoyably part of the job was the free delicious food I was able to have on break and bring home at the end of every shift.

I got to work at 9 and I would walk around and see if any tables were dirty and if their was I would clean them. It got really busy at 10-1 then it would slow down. I was usually asked to clean all the tables and put thing back the way they were before I left. I was usually done work at 2-3 or asked to stay an hour or two long if it was still busy.

Fast-paced environment where the customer is always first priority.
Unless your a server you don't have a set schedule, so you could be called in last minute and get sent home after an hour or stay and work a 12 hour shift. This job requires you to always be available.

I was very close to the owners they treated me like one of their own children .I probly would have retired from CB if i would have stayed in Ontario but returned to MTL because my son and his family lives here and decided to remain in Quebec

This was a very titring job but the staff were great and managment was excellent, as well as the food. a typical day would entail coming in early to prep and then cooking all day during rush hours it would get very chaotic.

Never work for these people. Slow and not worth your time, very hateful environment. There is no such thing as team work and when you have a problem you can’t even speak to management about it or they get mad.

The workplace culture at country boy is very fast paced and you must keep up with everyone working. The pay there is not so great for the amount of work you have to do.

Management borders on abusive. A great kitchen manager though! Hours were long and no weekends off. Uber busy kitchen .staff was great
