Management for service is the worse. All they care about is money, all at the mercy of your own mental well-being. Ended up in the hospital due to over working 13+ hour shifts and getting no bonus pay or recognition. If they can’t make money, they don’t want to help you. If your car has more than 30000kms. Expect a quote for over $2000 just on maintenance items and then don’t even tell you the reason you came in for diagnostic to begin with. And that’s how they TRAIN people from the start. They will only bow down to a customer when they are threatened with a google review or bad survey. Their customer satisfaction ratings are faked to upper management and watches them fake it just to get their bonuses. Reality is, their customer service sucks and it will never get better when all they care about is making the money from the customer so they can keep the lights on. Terrible work place, if you’re considering. Just don’t. 

It's car sales. It is not easy. The most difficult part is balancing the customer with your sales management. The fine line between making enough money to live off of, not ripping someone off on a car deal, and not doing so poorly that you just get fired (or so little sales leads that you can't afford to work there anymore). The culture can be toxic, only because it is dog eat dog. That next person walking in the door could be a sale, or it could be a bust. First come, first serve. The only job security is yourself.

I found the management at Country Hills Hyundai to be extremely dishonest to the customers and to the technicians finding new ways to take it vantage of both every day although the pay was fair when I started it went down as I work there management made it very hard to work

Was always feeling uncomfortable with decisions and policy's put in place by upper (senior) management.  No actions taken when concerns brought to the most senior managers.  Very poor work/life balance avaliable here, however pay is normally above average.  Not worth it however. I would stay clear if looking for a new job in the auto industry.

typical nine hour shift with a one hour lunch. Very upbeat and friendly environment, fast paced, usually pretty busy. encourage you to ask questions if you need anything but don't actually want you to.

management OWNS you, does not care about your personal life. almost minimum wage with no advancement opportunity, some people have been waiting for an apprentice position for 3 years, and the apprentices are doing oil changes.

The work itself was not too bad, all the sales people who worked there were funny and made the day go by quickly. My only complaint is that I was often asked to work hours outside of what I was scheduled for, i.e., scheduled for 2-3 shifts a week, worked 5-6.

the other techs in the shop were fantastic to work with however the service manager leaves little to be desired. he is constantly asking the techs to take less hours on jobs for discounts rather then just discounting the labour rate.

Management is extremely unorganized and not very well trained. Very old school way of thinking that no longer works in certain aspects. Managers control your life and schedule.

Managers sit in their tower and act like they are better than the staff. They don’t set you up for success but expect you to be successful without guidance.
