Management is great here...they have that family business type style. When I was having issues with childcare, my managers helped me with options so that I could keep my job and still contribute while juggling 2 kids. In fact when colleagues of mine at our builders were getting laid off during the pandemic, management was against lay-offs because we all have mouths to feed at home. They understood how important family at home is to employees and work with us. I cannot say enough good things about management here

A typical day starts with endless free coffee, and ends with friendly "See you tomorrow"s. The middle part always seemed busy, even when it was slow; but, there are often breaks and free food for "snack  Wednesday". The senior management is great, with lots of positivity, and a genuine desire  to see people happy and improving. Middle management is helpful and friendly - but always driving for results (That's both good and bad).
I found a disconnect between the desire to take criticism and the implementation of making changes.

Easily the most toxic environment I have worked in during my career. Management and Executive team are only interested in their own gains and do nothing to grow, embrace and build their team from within. New job opportunities are only shared with staff that the executive and management team  cherry pick and not shared with everyone. The role you are hired for is the only role you will see unless you are family or close friends of the family. This is a good company if you have no aspirations to grow within your career and are OK with just doing as told and not asking for further direction/help or challenging any current processes or procedures, which are grossly outdated.

the team i worked with was supportive.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No growth and or the pay was minimal. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Was a good enviroment and culture was good but I had heard that it was going downhill.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
schedule trades and materials / procurement
inspections of trade work.
create deficiencies lists.
hold trades accountable
maintain sites and safety.

Day at work: Estimating jobs, solving issues in the field,

Learn: new office skills using different programs and skills to purchase jobs.

Management: Current manager doesn't have any people skills should not be a manager.

Workplace culture: very family orientated.

Hardest Part of the job: keeping up to a procedure that they keep adding to.

Most enjoyable part of the job: working with certain people, although there are some that are negative and can change the atmosphere of the environment

The company has a lack of communication which causes a lot of problems and concerns.  The company does not want to listen to the employee's concerns or problems which makes it hard to improve the working conditions for yourself.  I find that there is a lot of favoritism within the company which make you feel unappreciated and under valued.

Coventry had a good work environment at one point in time. The group of people that work(ed) there were great. New management came in for the Purchasing department and that's when things unraveled. The Manager did not know how to manage and lead. It made for a negative work environment.

When I first started here, it was a small family run company.  It grew really fast and direction and vision changed.  It is still family run and they are still incredibly passionate about what they do, just on a larger scale.

i do the full cycle accounting for accounts payable. I have found that this is a very busy and high pressure position with very little support and help when you need it.  I have a lot of experience doing the job and can solve the problems and challenges of the position with a good level of success.

Coventry is an amazing company to work for.
the work ethic and  professionalisim is held at the highest standard and is  always welcoming of improvement.
