Handled inbound customer service calls regarding residential and commercial services for Rogers. The position was highly stressful as employees regularly dealt with irate customers complaining about their devices, service quality and the cost of their services. The position required that employees monitored their call length and pushed additional products and services to each and every customer. Sales practices were unethical at times and this mentality was encouraged by management in an effort to make additional money for the company. Employee turn over was high and shifts made it difficult to find a work/life balance at times.

Working for Convergys has been a great experience for I have learned to be able to deescalate situations with customers and I find it has helped further my career.


Typical day at work would be me taking calls for Rogers customers.
Sitting with my fellow co-workers is quite helpful as well, when ever I need help or advice from someone it is nice to have them beside me.

The most enjoyable part of day to day work at Convergys is being able to help assist customers with their needs and having the satisfaction of knowing you helped a customer with the issue.

At Convergys, you are the human resource. The job can be rewarding and the people you meet are nice. However you are scored by computers on all behaviours from your email response time to your bathroom breaks. If you take more than three minutes of bathroom time your employee rating goes down making for an unnecessarily stressful environment

Loved working for convergys learned alot of things , I ve learned billing issues  . 
Also great company to work for  help anyway they can to keep you employed.  
Work as a team and always someone there ro help you if you needed.  
     Have alot of empty for theee workers ..

The only good thing about working for this company was the employees. The management was awful. They treated you like you were a number not a person. No regard for anyone but themselves. Thankfully I left before the doors closed because that place was nothing but pure evil.

High stress and very fast paced but doable. Some good team members and good managers as everywhere. Up to date . Lots of bonus activities and good restaurant. 

Working here, we got to deal with the most unpleasant entitled folks on a daily basis. American Cellular customers. Truly this job was only as good as it was employment.

Very organised,the training for each project was detailed. The pay was decent with lots of opportunities to earn bonuses.  Customer service over the phone is by nature stressful, but there was also those who were very pleasant and appreciated the help you give them.

ok job and good to learn much needed skills for other jobs later in life. Needs to be unionized though. Shifts were good and the team leaders were great. The policies not good for the worker as they value numbers more than people.

It was not the most exciting job that I've had, but my co-workers were fun to hang out with while on shift and apart from one or two supervisors, most of them were nice to work with and understanding of the stresses that come with this type of work.
