Cows Ice Cream

COWS is a friendly, laid back working environment, with great opportunities to gain skills and promotions.
They try their best to be flexible with work/life balance, more often than not accommodating last minute shift swaps amongst staff.
Customers can get frustrated at the long lines but everything is handled calmly and supervisors and managers are always available to intervene if need be.
There are so many different tasks to do throughout the day so you do not get into a monotonous routine.

A typical day at cows would include, long lines, long busy days and a lot of fun. I had learned a lot about working with money at a cash register, how to serve customers and how to work with food. Management was good, booking time off could be difficult but was still decent for the most part. The workplace culture was fun and mostly easy going. The hardest part for me was being able to make a  perfect ice cream cone, but the most enjoyable part was definetly being able to interact with the customers.

Working at COWS was a lot of fun, I got to meet a lot of really interesting people, both co-workers and customers. I liked the steady pace, but it takes a lot out of you. Standing all day for 8hr shifts, it gets really sore and your arm/shoulder/hand hurts from scooping all day. BUT on the plus side you get really cheap/almost free ice cream, you meet fun people, pay is good, they are really good about time off as long as you give them reasonable notice.

Cows is a very secure working experience with a steady pay and friendly employees, but be prepared to not understand half the customers you serve. Being a tourist hotspot, the majority of them are from Asia and don't understand a word of English. Smart use of body language can make serving quick and easy though.

It was honestly a phenomenal summer job! I made great tips and the manager at the Kiosk is one of the most hard working people I've ever seen. She is really fair when it comes to time off, and sick days. It was a great staff the few summers I worked there!

Cows was an overall good and fun environment to work in but they had very poor management and was very chaotic. No one really listened to management and tasks varied throughout the store.

This was my favorite job. Everyone was so much fun to work with and we all became very close , very fast. It was so easy to make friends. It was an amazing company to work for.

The staff was great, the management was ok but it was very hard to work because we were so understaffed hopefully the company will hire more people...
