The role offered valuable experience supporting senior leadership in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, and helped me strengthen my organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

That said, the internal environment could often feel disorganized. Processes and priorities sometimes shifted quickly without clear communication, which made it challenging to stay aligned and work efficiently. At times, there was a lack of structure in workflows and decision-making, which placed additional pressure on administrative staff to adapt on the fly.

Overall, it’s a role where you can gain meaningful experience and financial stability, but success requires a high level of flexibility, patience, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.

A typical day at work starts from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Some days are spent on site the entire day, or in the site office updating drawings, attending meetings, and filing/photocopying documents. My interpersonal skills, were expanded from the work experience, I learned more about: the construction and design process of building an LRT line, safety and environmental regulations, different programs such as bluebeam revu, excel, smart use, etc. As a summer student, my role was not significant, and some tasks were tedious, but overall it was worth it for the knowledge and experience I have gained.

the opportunity to work with Infrastructure Ontario project with a multi discipline, multi cultural professionals to enhance Toronto's commuter experience.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
the verification and certification, processes due to inputs and agreements from other stakeholders. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
very friendly, encouraging, and very open top to bottom communication.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
new challenges and keeping the site and workers safe

Extremely poor management and rigid management is the main problem. There is a huge lack of trust to employees outside of circle of friends. You hear frequently statements like " You're not here to use your head" or "I will fire him...", etc. Apparently, a national project like this should be differently managed and Canadian taxpayer money much better used and protected. Zero appreciation towards some employees. Very unfair salary considering work conditions and expectations. Based on my knowledge, I consider the work quality as critical.

Great work atmosphere. Attentive and great management team. Makes going into word a pleasure.

Any kinds of failures and set backs. We are working towards completing the project in a safe and timely manner.

Inclusive, understanding, empathetic and enjoyable. A very healthy work environment for sure.

Busy, always something to do.

The company ended up having a poisonous work environment

Poisonous and toxic. The management wasn’t helpful and knew little about transit

Waited for our work orders and we had no material to do repairs

Some good and professional people, like everywhere else but the smartest don't stay long.

Interesting project but way more difficult than should be for multiple reasons (not always on the company side)

Extremely fast paced, continuous rush.

Continuous changes in the project, organization and management.

Happy confort learning about user experience with new products machine learning tools I have fun with guys my bosses are very friendly every day learning new things but many people don’t know what they are doing because news in consumer lol crosslinx  good company but many  Forman don’t understand the concept of respect for workers  is my opinions I want to back to work with them but I think is difficult for me 

Management was poor, direction and training for specific job was lacking. Safety training was good, zero opportunity to visit site areas. Unorganized and competitive rivalry between the joint venture companies. Salary was good, benefits were great. Staff turnover was rapid which does not help the situation.
