Former Employee – Dental Admin Team

I had high hopes when I joined Dawson Dental, but unfortunately, my experience was overwhelmingly negative.

The most concerning issue is the complete lack of support when dealing with abusive or toxic patients. Staff are expected to tolerate unacceptable behavior with no backing from management, which creates a stressful and unsafe working environment.

Management operates through fear and control rather than leadership. There were multiple instances of team members being encouraged to report on each other’s activities, creating a culture of distrust and anxiety rather than teamwork and collaboration.

Roles and schedules are changed without notice or input, often leaving employees scrambling to adapt with no explanation or consideration. You’re expected to accept shifting responsibilities and inconsistent hours as part of the job, with no added compensation or support.

Most disappointing of all is the lack of growth opportunities. Promises of advancement or development are rarely followed through, and you're left feeling stuck and undervalued no matter how hard you work or how long you've been with the company.

Unless you’re comfortable working in a high-stress, micromanaged environment with no clear path forward, I would not recommend Dawson Dental as an employer.

I have worked at Dawson for over 7 years, I am writing this review because the many great team members deserve to be represented properly and fairly.  

From Dawson's mission, its passionate leadership support, unmatched training programs like Dawson U, the highest of clinical standards, operational excellence and the fun the teams have - Dawson is an amazing place to be and to grow.

Everyone has the opportunity to do their work, but also to grow and develop beyond their capabilities.  If you have high standards and care about the patient experience, Dawson is an awesome match for you.

Dawson Dental is an organization that invests in its people. I started with the company by completing a week long learning program that really prepared me for my role . They seem to sincerely care about their people and want them to succeed and grow. I have to say, I've worked in many different dental environments and Dawson has really changed my perception of dentistry. My role is enjoyable and fun. My team is incredible and we work as if we are one big family. 
I would recommend Dawson to anyone looking to advance their career in dentistry or would like a rewarding career in their current discipline.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The only good thing was that we got dental benefits 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No routine, no structure, no job security, no proper management 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very cheap work environment, no respect for employees.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Deal with insurances, and try and fix the night before’s mistakes.

Dawson embodies a culture of excellence and a culture of continuous improvement. Each day starts with a morning meeting allowing the team to be aligned on common purpose elevating every patient's experience in the practice. Every leader from senior leadership team to the leaders in the practice are supportive and approachable. The most enjoyable part of working at Dawson is feeling that my contributions make a difference.

Company speaks highly on valuing patients but will not value their employees. Underpaid staff, overworked and stressed from clinical to admin staff. Pressure on practice leaders to book appointments to meet quotas. No time to use the restroom, expect to scarf down lunch, and don’t bank on leaving work on time. Promises on raises and bonuses will never be fulfilled. Most clinics are understaffed  HR does not make sure staff hired are properly trained

I learned During this period, I have gained more practical knowledge/skills. My comprehensive expertise allows me to complete patient care with complete success. I am confident that my contributions would be a valuable asset. During my employment with DAWSON Dental, I was responsible for completing paperwork, scheduling, making phone calls and helping out the dentist, hygienists and other members of the clinic when needed.

Great benefits. Poor management. Criticize more than praise. Overworked and under appreciated.would rather work in a less stressed environment for less money. There is no job security. They whip through receptionists without thinking twice.I should have listened to the warnings from many in the dental community.i think I sold my soul to the devil...happy to be free
Happy to be free from thrre

Dismissed from my job for no reason other than bad financial management. It took 10 minutes to show me the door.
Not a very solid environment to base one's career.
I would never recommend anyone to work here, as they do not understand what they are doing when they hire real people.
