They constantly under bid on jobs and caused workers to get exposed to asbestos and other hazards in the subway .Bad project management .Project managers and foremen were ignorant ,whip crackers with no regard for safety or human life.Nor the time constraints to do the work in that enviorment.They failed to provide the required training forcing many workers to break rules in place by TTC such as mandatory track training,.Many employees did not have asbestos training and  were lied to by DMS and the TTC about the presence of asbestos and other hazards such as molds and diesel soot.The CLAC union reps had no back bone and did not protect its workers .They did not follow union rules ,there we're no shop sturarts or any other forms of support for workers .They tried put liability on workers and not the management .Jus plain corporate greed with a total disregard for human life .

Decent pay, but don't trust their pay scale. We all know what people should be making based on their work hours and schooling, but you could have more education and make a dollar less than somebody else who's a glorified janitor simply because they have more work based hours only.

You are expected to do lots of over time if not, you will be let go. 
Great learning experience. Decent pay. But it can be very stressful because they will let you go no matter how loyal you are, your educational and skill level.

But if their busy they will keep workers who do absolutely zero work.
But if times get a bit tough, your skill set, level and job experience is irrelevant.
It's all about politics and whom likes whom.

Loyalty means nothing even if your a good worker and produce a lot but maybe slow in one area.

Great teachers though.

At DMS Hydronic Mechanical Systems Ltd., hard work is generously rewarded with very competitive pay rates. Promotion from within. Several large projects throughout the Lower Mainland. Positive workplace attitude and upon earning trust, you can expect frequent recognition.

As this was the first company I started my apprenticeship with DMS for 2 years and this was a terrible example on how you should treat an apprentice. After working in various companies, this was definitely the company at the bottom of the list. Going to school was more of a pain than anything else, finishing school and your raises were prolonged for weeks and even months.. A lot of the workers were either toxic or non trustworthy.

Owner considers office staff "overhead" and tells you that upfront. One the one hand he says he wants his staff "to be happy to come to work each day" and believes supplying the odd donut and staff lunch will facilitate that. On the other hand he expects staff to stay busy all day long "there should be no lulls in the day". His expectations are unrealistic. 
The service manager is just a bully who yells at and belittles his staff.

Very toxic environment 
Company has no integrity 
Harassment in the work place 
No loyalty
No room for advancement 
One person trying to micromanaging everyone
Stay away…

Hours are flexible, and you are quickly given the opportunity to learn. Opportunity to generate more work for the company/yourself.  The lack of equipment and state of equipment is frustrating to say the least.  Same goes for the vehicles which are not maintained…

i am now in charger of putting together mechanical rooms the ordering, the operation and running of the mechroom.  as for the hardest part of the job is the job, but the most enjoyable part is seeing it work. oh no leaks is a big one as well.
