What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing. There were no significant positive aspects during my experience working at Donut Time. Overall, the environment and management made the experience very challenging, and it is difficult to identify any notable benefits. However, it did provide some basic exposure to a fast-paced work setting and how to handle difficult workplace situations.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of working at Donut Time was the overall management behavior and work environment. There was a lack of respectful communication, and employees were often spoken to harshly or criticized in front of others. The uncertainty around shift scheduling also created stress, as shifts could be reduced or changed unexpectedly, which made it difficult to feel stable or secure at work.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment at Donut Time was often stressful and lacked a supportive culture. Communication from management was not consistently respectful, and employees were sometimes spoken to in a harsh or unprofessional manner. There was limited sense of teamwork or encouragement, which made the workplace feel uncomfortable at times. Overall, the culture did not promote a positive or respectful working environment for staff.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
However, the day-to-day experience was often affected by management style and communication, which made the overall atmosphere more stressful than expected.

My experience working at this company was very disappointing. The management appeared disorganized, and important information was often unclear or missing. The software systems used were  sick, outdated and inefficient, which made daily tasks more challenging. Teams are not even cooperative. You gotta chase people to give you an information.

I also had concerns regarding compliance with Ontario employment standards, including the absence of sick or personal days, unpaid overtime, and no clear path toward full-time employment. People are facing serious health issues, yet employees are expected to use their vacation days instead, as there are no personal or sick days provided. It often felt like employees were easily replaced and could be let go at any time under the label of performance issues.

The workload expectations were quite high compared to the wages offered, and there was a lack of communication, clarity, and proper training. They eat your hard earned money. No growth of room! Ultimately, my employment ended abruptly without a clear explanation.

Overall, my experience working here was ridiculous and disappointing, and unfortunately, I would not recommend this workplace.

The work environment at Donut Time Concord Bakery is toxic, with poor communication and limited collaboration across teams. The culture is dominated by gossip, speculation, and unprofessional behavior, which creates unnecessary tension and a stressful atmosphere. Employees often experience a lack of respect from colleagues, and their input is frequently dismissed, making it difficult to foster innovation. There's little openness to feedback or new ideas, and a general lack of trust and support makes it challenging to stay motivated. If you're seeking a professional, respectful, and supportive workplace, this may not be the right fit.

This company gives no overtime pay, no health benefits, no bonus, and you're expected to work over 60 hours a week. Most importantly, the products are very low quality and made with very dirty equipment. 
Everyone at donut time is looking for a new job with a different company. Having this company listed on your resume will hurt your career. This company has so much potential to be a nice place to work, but the management that was put in charge will be the reason this company won't grow or attract talent. 

I am picky about public health and safety. I am trained in Food Handling and when I was employed here, there were violations daily. Although we were allowed to take "seconds" home I would not bring anything made in that factory home due to the violations in health code I was witnessing, and management was alright with it. Same for how they treat their "new comer" employees... who do not know their rights. 

Eventually I left, and the proper authorities were notified of the infractions.

Years of little or no maintenance has left the whole building with duct tape and baling wire holding the place together. Highly stressful environment with a lot of blaming and finger pointing, very toxic work environment. Very low pay compare to the market. Management doesn't care about employees. A lot of the culture was drenched in gossip about other employees, and a few toxic individuals spoiled what many had going for them. Unfortunate to see it falling apart because of people with egos. 


The worst place to work. The staff is rude and they mistreat the employees. They don’t pay well and untop of that they have employees doing 3 jobs for the same pay. They force employee’s to work on holidays with no extra pay. They don’t pay over time and they want you to work Sunday to Sunday. The place is nasty and the labour is stress full. Employees faint every year due to the heat.

A typical day at work is stressful and tedious, improper way of training, unprofessional way of giving information, rules and regulations doesn’t work. Talking loudly while packing donuts without wearing masks. disrespecting blacks from white skins, rudeness, low payment but hard work. Only enjoy when shift is over.

NO work-life balance. nobody care about employees.
specially worst part of this job is summer time they don't have AC system in plant and inside temp of plant is always more than 40 C through out all summer days.  

Low pay, some workers get paid in cash the ones that we dont, we get paid less. The plant is very hot, we have complaint about the temperature for years and nothing. you cannot have water in the line. you need to pass out to get some relief. You get constantly yelled at. not recommended
