They are understaffed and upper management doesn't have a clue what is going on with the on-site operations, as their head office is in Regina.

I felt my strengths were taken advantage of and used to save on labour costs. Management was out of touch, most times unreachable, and had no clue what was involved in the day to day. As soon as I saw how this could effect my reputation in the industry because of the lack of resources provided, I left quick.

The pay was ok, but the work load was unrealistic which I continuously explained but no one listened. They have a high turn over and that is legit the reason I, and a few other people had left.

Mind is boggled how this is a Top Employer. I've never experienced a staff event, the rental incentives are 5%, and everyone in my area complained about the same thing I mentioned above. I hung on for a bit but eventually it just became a joke and I just left.

There are many positive aspects of working for Deveraux such as the work-life balance, but they will also ensure your success as an employee if they see that you reciprocate that same respect and dedication to them through your work ethic.  The construction industry in general has ups and downs (busy and slow) but if you're a good worker/team player, they will make sure you are taken care of. It's quite simple.  And contradicting some other reviews, they have quite a number of long term dedicated staff, which speaks to the great company Deveraux is and I personally don't feel management is non-existent, anytime I need anything I can reach someone and they are constantly checking in on your to make sure you have everything you need to succeed and are not overwhelmed. 

my time with Deveraux has absolutely been a positive experience. They urged me to advance myself self through training courses which i was able to choose myself to further my career. they have a program in place to help cover some if not all the costs of educational advancement. The management staff i work with are supportive and instructional. Deveraux are consistantly rolling out new programs to assist employees with personal goals. They also have an Employee, and Family Assistance program availble to assist employee's in many different ways.

There are many wonderful aspects of working for this company. A few that are most important to me is the work/life balance, room for advancement, and the culture. In the few positions I have had within Deveraux, I have been challenged, pushed out of my comfort zone, and trusted to make important decisions, and ultimately this is what has allowed me to grow into different roles. Deveraux follows through with their word and ensures that their staff and residents are taken care of. 

Over the 5 years that I have worked with Deveraux, they have continuously been looking for ways to improve. They offer flexibility, work from home options, personal days, retirement plans, excellent benefits, and more. 

I strongly recommend Deveraux, and look forward to continuing my employment with them for years to come.

I would recommend working with Deveraux Group of Companies to anyone. The environment is welcoming and friendly, and everyone gets along with everyone! Of course, like anywhere else, it can be a fast-paced and hectic culture in the busy times of the month, but hard work is never overlooked in this company - having been promoted after only being here less than a year and a half. I am consistently shown appreciation for working hard- and a good company makes you WANT to work hard for them! Deveraux appreciates honest people, hard work, and a good attitude. It really is that simple! If you aren’t these things, it might not be the job for you.

i’ve really enjoyed my time at Deveraux. i always feel supported in my role, my manager always ensures i’m comfortable with my position. in my position, i deal with the public (which can be taxing). i’ve never been put in an uncomfortable situation. if there is issues, upper management will step in. 
they give me new training quarterly, just to update my knowledge, and upgrade my skills. which is always appreciated! 
like any job, there’s good days and bad days. but with this position, the good days definitely outweigh the bad. 
my coworkers are amazing ! there’s so much support and true friendships - super fun work place!
deveraux is an excellent place to work; i would recommend it to anyone! 


My job is enriching, challenging, and rewarding and I enjoy the people I work with. It's fast paced, they allow hybrid WFH, and they're continually growing. That being said, there is a lack of support for the accounting team, especially around year end. Instead of hiring more staff to support the burnt out employees, they rather just try and juggle things around on to lesser qualified staff, who are also over worked and exceeding workload capacity.

Got laid off as “construction was coming to an end” however there were multiple building being built in the area. Wages went up except for deveraux. I saw multiple wage increases for the trade I was in and fought for a raise for 7 months with no avail. Labourers make pretty much the same as foreman’s/supervisors so recommend being a labourer with pretty much same wage and less BS. Management especially higher ups are something else and that’s being as nice as I can be, very very very select few genuine good people within the company

In my years of working with Deveraux, I have always had the support of management. If you work hard and prove that you are loyal and eager to learn, they will reward you. There are several opportunities for advancement and you can expect to receive the appropriate training to succeed. The days can be long and sometimes stressful, but they push to ensure that the employees maintain a healthy work life balance. Overall, my experience working with Deveraux has been great.
