Dr. Green

Great place to work if you are good at working independently. A good portion of your day is spent driving so if your not used to driving in Calgary it may be stressful. Work can be very taxing so if you are not used to physical labor I'm not sure I would recommend working here. Days sometimes can be 9-12 hours starting very early in the morning with little time for breaks but time spent driving makes up for this in terms of being able to rest. Even if quotas aren't met they are very reasonable in finding a way to make sure that they are in the future. A majority of customers are very friendly and a pleasure to talk to but some are VERY picky about the details of the service visit so be prepared to deal with some hovering over you while you work. The owner is very friendly and a great person to work with as well as the coworkers that I had over the summer. If you need a spring-summer job and you are able to do physical labor over long hours and work independently I would highly recommend working for this company.

Equipment was pretty unreliable, hours were long, and pay was alright but nothing amazing. I liked some of my coworkers, but the amount of work we were expected to do was simply unrealistic. The amount of stops per day assumed that everything will go perfectly and all equipment will be functional throughout the day, but that does not always happen, even if the equipment was brand new (which it was not). 10+ hour days in the sun are pretty ridiculous, especially when I had to threaten a complaint before getting paid for overtime, and one of my trucks didn't have AC. 

Turnover was ridiculously high. I joined at the start of summer and was one of few who made it to the end. The manager was evidently trying their best but the fact that they also had to do basic routes said a lot about the amount of work the company had to take on.



They expect more work to be done than time allows, so everyone has to work through their breaks and lunches to meet the quotas they hand out. If you don't meet their quotas your are reprimanded which is fine, but the rate of work they demand means you need to finish a house in under 5 minutes. unless you work through both of your breaks and your lunch you won't be able to meet their demands. or unless you can finish a job in under 5 minutes. so the choice is either rush through the job and then be reprimanded for not doing it properly, or work through your breaks and lunches, which they won't pay you for.

I worked for this company for 2 months with no gratitude in return and unrealistic expectations about the amount of work to be done. They are a very unethical company. They refuse to refund unhappy customers, make false promises to customers all the time, short employees on cheques regularly, and do not follow legal labor practice in Canada. This is a very shady company, and I advise anyone against working for, or hiring them to perform services on your lawn. It will be a headache as well as a hassle.

Productive,fast pace and fun work. Great company's management as well as great co-workers culture. Working outdoors and interacting with our customers was the nicest part of my job because i always felt a great satisfaction when they told me that i was doing a great job for them.Personally i learned how important is the customer-company relationship and all the benefits that this can represent for the company.

Worked here for a season, overall good place to work, you chart your own day, which means you can have a great day, finish in good time if you are organized and efficient. I enjoyed my time here because management was good to me, also organized myself well to have a good day. Would absolutely recommend working here.

Typical day consists of loading up on supplies you need for that day and getting your route information and then you going out on your own or with someone and completing all the houses that you have been assigned that day. The quicker you finish all of your houses the sooner you can go home.

i loved working there but it was seasonal and when the weather got cold it was unbearable, but overall everyone was friends and everyone got along fairly well, it was fun going to far away areas and talking to new people everyday.

Customer service gave us door-to-door salesmen difficulty in convincing customers of their lawn care quality and reliability. 
Services were not delivered on time and were often late or done with little care.

The trucks and the building are falling apart.
They go through five production managers a year. Guys get burned out from working 25 hours a day.
