Eecol Electric is an awesome company to work for I wish that I had found this company earlier in my working career. I find that Eecol is very fair to those that come to work. Management  spots and assists those areas that need Improvement with training.
If you like a friendly environment, an opportunity to create a long-lasting career with a balanced family life then this is a great opportunity.

If you truly wish to better yourself then this company is the one that offers a window of opportunity, Work Safe,Smart and rewards exist. Stand around,loaf about, interfere chatting with co-workers continuously this is not the place.

EXPECTATIONS  are that we come to work not socialize .

I worked there under a year.  I was optimistic about starting there but was more optimistic about quitting.  I knew how to drive sit down lift yet was still required to take the in-house training.  However, the training didn’t happen for MONTHS.  I requested reach lift training several times and was denied.  There was definitely favoritism by the warehouse manager because certain people got trained on everything very quickly.  When I kept asking, the manager's response was "the training takes people away from their jobs and there is no one here who can certify you", which was false.  When I voiced my concerns about harrasement, the manager said to "ignore it".  I was condescended almost daily.  Many people there got burnt out by high workloads but the company wouldnt hire more people to help out.  The pay I received was very low for the amount of work required.

Long story short, there are a lot of issues with this company that could be corrected over time if the managers cared about their employees, but as I saw it, they simply don’t.  There are clear reasons why they have such a high turnover rate.  They also don’t offer part time work which is a huge influence on their work force.




The culture that drives Eecol is sales. The leadership are sales people, they sell you on the idea of good employment and a promise of a good wage… it’s just a sales pitch.
Many employees have second jobs or they are living with their parents. “Moving Up” is the mantra, but the turnover for staff is so bad, very few  move up fast enough to see a significant increase in their wage. 
If you see a problem, don’t fix it. Someone may be offended by your initiative or abilities to do better. The first day they will give you a ton of protocol to follow, only for management not to follow that very same protocol. 
The contradiction can be hard to understand and navigate. You will be reprimanded for something that someone else did and once exonerated, management will not apologize. 
The hardest part of working here was discerning who to report to. So many “managers” but only one has unlimited power over everything. 
There is no job security at all. An overly emotional day can cost you your employment. No warning or write ups.
This place is broken and toxic. The people in charge are the culprits and they love to blame everyone else. 
If you have a pulse, they will hire you, but heed my warning, you are expendable and you are not valued. Regardless of what the sales people say.


It's really hard to explain but i will do my best. my experience with eecol electric was they seemed very desperate for employees because of there very high turnover rate. i worked with one guy who come in, did his job, and ended up getting fired because he didn't fit into there idea of work culture. they also tested you by intentionally hiring horrible to work for supervisors. if you showed you could tolerate them you would be promoted if you spoke up you were fired. they also in my time there tried to take away my coffee breaks saying you're not entitled to them. i was a smoker at the time and that did not fly with me. after one year working hard for them i was promoted between 3 different areas in the warehouse but with no added pay for each new job. my raise came after 1 year. it was not what i expected for an increase. i asked for time off without pay to go and help my family with harvest and was denied so i said screw it and quit. some of my coworkers were cool guys but generally the only ones who stuck around had to bleed eecol electric to stay. the only positives i remember was occasionally they would get in pizza for the staff or doughnuts and coffee. but honestly a decent pay raise would've meant more to me then stuff i can buy myself on my own time.

It was a 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday job with an hour for lunch. Day consisted of receiving stock and putting it in location. Everyday was really busy and seemed like there was never a way to get everything done. Eecol is staffed very thin and their is not enough people to run the warehouse so the expectations for things to be completed were extremely too high. Management was found to be unproductive. No respect was given and emplyees were treated poorly for all the effort they put in. When it came to emplyee conflict management did not do what they could to resolve to issue. Co-worker were wonderful. They were high spirted and helpful. Hardest part of the job was trying to keep u with expectations. Best part was conversing with co-workers and customers

The job seemed very well organized and easy to get the hang of at first. minimum wage for a warehouse job my expectations going in were just get the work done and go home. boy was I wrong. besides the obvious formed cliques right away the training was short and not helpful. mainly just got use to repeating the same thing after being shown once hoping to not make a mistake and even when i did make one nobody said anything about it and just decided to make small hints at the right way to do something then just being straight to the point. if you want to work your butt off have to make friends with people do work emails and basically group pep talk sessions all while your manager is getting payed 6 figs and your barely scratching by on min wage id highly recommend this position.  

Working in the warehouse can be straightforward if you're allowed to focus on your responsibilities without unnecessary interference. However, when others feel threatened by your presence or assume you're trying to take their position, despite that not being the case, it can create a hostile work environment. Your workday may go smoothly when those individuals are in a good mood, but the moment something goes wrong, the blame often shifts unfairly to you. It becomes a situation where you're constantly made to feel inadequate. In some cases, personal biases or internal politics can even lead to termination without clear justification. Unfortunately, it’s also apparent that women are not treated equally or welcomed in that environment.

The company used to have great morals, standards and ideas. After Wesco bought EECOL the company has gone down the drain. They don't adhere to the promises they make you any more. They keep trying to downsize via laying employees off, but expect the same amount if not more work done. Raises are barely enough to make any difference. Some supervisors and power hungry and cruel, some managers are just there to collect their large pay cheque.

Overall it’s a good place to work if you have a good manager and you like the people you work with. The way corporate is changing things up is not good though. Eecol used to be a really great place to work, now because of corporate and all the changes they are bringing in, and things you have to do even if they don’t pertain to your job is dumb…but what do you expect when the company gets bought out by an American company. The pay is decent, but the stress is what kills me, you have to memorize so many part numbers, and you have to try to decipher what people are trying to say they are looking for. They keep trying to put more on your plate without more pay. They used to allow company to buy employees lunch once a month, but they took that away. 

I've worked for Eecol for a fair while and have to say it is only going down hill. Normally I don't write reviews but felt compelled to warn people off of this place. 
Pay is barely market competitive and the managers will make sure to short change you if they can. Everyone is stressed or depressed but mass company wide emails will praise the culture like everyone that works for the company is "family" and we are a team. Make no mistake, the managers are not on your side. As for the employees, most are good, hard working people but that doesn't make up for the short staff and false promises. Overall don't work here unless you just want a paycheck and don't mind being miserable to get it.
