The company is growing with lots of opportunities for employees.  They like to promote from within first.
Employees are encouraged to take courses and training - all paid by the company.
The management is fair and will work with employees. They listen and take suggestions.
The Company cares about the community and fundraises.
The people are great to work with.
It is a recycling plant, so it can be messy and plastic will get in the parking lot, but there are students hired to keep the property clean.
You are expected to work hard but also expected to maintain a good home/work balance.  They don't want people to burn out.
The management cares about all employees equally and treat people with dignity and respect.
No company is perfect, but it is an excellent place to work.  
The management does not micromanage and trusts employees to do their jobs.

I worked at EFS for almost 4 years, I was drawn to it primarily due to the location as it was close to home.  The company was experiencing rapid growth and expansion which was exciting but growing pains come along with that as well.  The coworkers are great and always helpful to me and each other.  The office itself can be noisy and it is up a flight of stairs.

Lack of training and extremely hot

Toxic it's terrible management is a joke 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Hot and long no breaks for some people but others do what they want

I would recommend this job site to anyone. Its a recycling facility but is still a fairly clean and organized operation. I worked as a forklift operator, running pallets and loading the finished product onto trucks. Packaging and running augers to fill orders. It was all really good work no real issues.

Good place to work, tight knit team, there is issues no matter where you go in the working world, but they do a good job working through it. They offer you an input on every problem even if it’s not the idea that is gone with. Would recommend them as an employer to anyone. Good place to advance if you have to work drive and talent.

So much potential for this business to go places and change the Lethbridge area for the better. Unfortunately, there’s a few ppl there who would rather hold the company down and keep it as negative and toxic as possible.

The President is an intelligent man with tons of experience in recycling plastics. There is a great opportunity to gain a good working knowledge of the industry.

I was on maintenance. Nobody knows what’s going on. Work is gross. Leadership is terrible. And best of all I was fired for requesting a week off. From the knee down it’s slop and from the knee up it’s dust. 

I can send alot of years working here. The other employees are great to work with. The mangers and supervisors are easy to get along with. I would highly recommend on applying here.

this is not a job you want if you thrive off of positive praise. it is head down, hard work. the pay is fair but it can be a very high stress environment at times.
