The job itself was quite boring, but it was okay. However, you're often asked to help out in other departments. In the interview, I was told it would only happen when exceptional circumstances came up, but in reality I was obligated to help out in other departments around 25% of the time. Furthermore, some people in the same department are favoured over others for certain things like telecommuting.

I'd say it's an okay place to work if you don't mind having little autonomy over your workday. It could also be okay if you like to do overtime. 

Personally, the lack of autonomy, lack of telecommuting, and the open office environment just weren't for me.

The environment at Empire is very fun and the coworkers are dynamic. It's also pretty easy to go up the ladder.

However, you're asked to do alot of work and the pay does not reflect the amount of effort put into it. 

Because of understaffing, it's almost impossible to get days off and head office is not receptive to fix that problem and refuse to pay their faithful and hardworking employees what they deserve.

It was a good place for me to work because of the clean environement that I was in.  Things went pretty well there at the empire sport entrepot at boucherville.

A good place to work while you're at school. Great first experience working at a sales associate. Give you proper training on hardgoods, so you can sell them properly.

i really love this company but there's no advancement and the salary is not very high..
